(Der POV)

I ran as fast as I could to Richard and everyone, holding Meredith while doing so. She was bleeding a lot, on the verge of losing consciousness. When I got there I placed her on the gurney gently and held her hand and stroked her hair. "Okay, get a lot of O neg and get me an IV!" Richard said, jumping into action. "Can't breathe." Meredith choked out. Bailey found a chest tube and was about to insert when she leant over and said "This is gonna hurt a lot, you should warn her." I bent over next to Merediths ear "This is going to hurt Mer, but I'm here with you, okay, I'm not going anywhere." I gave Bailey a nod and she cut a little incision in Merediths side, making her groan out in pain. "It's okay, Mer, your okay." I whispered soothingly into her ear. I could see her eyes glistening with unshed tears. "I can breathe better." She said shakily. "Okay, we gotta get her into an ambulance, she probably needs surgery because it looks like theres no exit wound for either shots." Bailey said as we loaded her into the ambulance. I looked over at Addison with a sad look on my face. We both knew it was over. I gave her a sad smile before the paramedics put on the sirens and lights and took off. "Start her on O neg and start an IV." Bailey said. I looked over at Meredith to see that she passed out, probably from the blood loss. "I'm concerned about that bullet wound to the shoulder, it could have hit a nerve. We have to make sure there's no damage there." Richard said nervously. "Okay. She'll be okay." I said as I looked at her. We pulled into the ambulance bay and were greeted by many surgeons. "Meredith Grey, 28, 2 GSWs to the chest and right shoulder, lost consciousness on the ride here." The paramedic said as we rolled her in. We got her into a trauma bay and began to access her injuries. "Okay, one gunshot wound to the chest, possibly hit right lung. Second gunshot wound to the right shoulder, possible nerve damage. We need to get her to CT and X-ray. Let's go!" The trauma surgeon, Dr. Wells, announced. "Derek, you have to stay in the waiting room. It's protocol." Richard said softly. "But-." "No buts. Go wait in the waiting room with everyone else. We will update you on her condition." Bailey said sternly.

(Bailey POV)

"Okay, let's roll her to CT." I said softly, trying to hold it together for my young intern. We rolled her to CT and loaded her in. "I'll stay with her." I stated. Richard and Dr. Wells gave me a nod and started off towards the scan room. I grabbed merediths as much as I could and whispered "You have to fight Meredith. Don't leave him and don't leave your friends." The CT beeped and brought her out. I walked over to the scan room and found the chief and Wells studying her scans. "Well, it looks like the bullet hit her lung which we will have to go in and fix, and it also looks like the bullet caused nerve damage in her shoulder. We have to go in to know the extent of it. Book an OR ASAP." Wells said.
