Leaving day
(Bailey POV)
I walked into merediths room to find her and her boyfriend fast asleep. I have to admit, they look pretty cute right. 'Shepherd reallt loves her' I thought. He left his wife for his ex girlfriend in a crisis. I contemplated waiting a little longer to let them sleep, but I figured they wanted to get out of here ASAP. I went over to the bed and gently shook Dereks shoulder. His eyes snapped open and rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. "Wake her. Once we finish this exam and she signs discharge papers you can take her home." I explained. He nodded and woke Meredith up by slipping out of the bed. "What's up?" Meredith asked sleepily. "Baileys gonna give you in an exam and sign some discharge papers so we can leave." Derek explained. "Mm k." Mer mumbled. I walked over and lifted her gown up. I examined her incisions and her stomach. "Looks good Grey. I already signed these now all you have to do is sign and then you can leave." I said. "I'll sign now." Meredith said as she quickly signed the papers. "Okay, I'll grab a wheelchair and you can leave." I said while I walked over towards the nurses station to get a wheelchair. I brought it back in her room to find Meredith already standing, ready to go. "Sit." I said sternly. She sat down and Derek grabbed the chair and pushed her out. "Be careful Grey. No heavy lifting, only 10 minute showers, and relax when you can." I stated. "I'll make sure of it." Derek reassured me as they went out the doors.
