Un-Beam My Heart!

15. Beam.... Baby...

                Tae pressed on the intercom and waited impatiently for Tony to reach his office.

                "Did you get what I asked for?", he asked as soon as Tony entered his room.

                "It's on the way sir", Tony replied and Tae waved him off out of his office with a huff.

                Tae walked around his office aimlessly, smiling to himself. He had never been so eager to go home before. He had always indulged himself into work and never let his mind waver away from work. Also, there was no one waiting for him at home back then. But now, he had someone at home. He wasn't sure if Tee would be waiting for him, but at least he was home.

                 Tae's smile widened as he remembered Copter. That kid was the definition of a cute smol bean. His pure, innocent eyes and genuine smile made it easy for Tae to get comfortable around him. And in just a week's time, he had become precious to Tae too. Tae wondered if Copter felt the same about him. He was sure that Copter had acknowledged him. But he wasn't sure if Copter could keep him at the same level as he kept Tee in his heart. Of course, he knew that he hadn't done anything specific to establish a close relationship with Copter yet, but he was ready to work hard to earn his position in that child's heart.

                 Tae looked towards the door eagerly when Tony peeked into his office a few minutes later.

                  "Is it here?", Tae asked like an enthusiastic child.

                  "No sir. Mr. Suchart is in the building", Tony replied in a low voice.

                   The happy smile vanished from Tae's face immediately, "What is he doing here?".

                   Tony shook his head with a shrug. 

                   "Where is he now?", Tae asked thoughtfully.

                   "Just outside the door, sir", Tony replied pointing to the door.

                   "Send him in", Tae said walking back to his seat.

                   Tony nodded and walked out of the room. A few seconds later, Tae heard a soft knock on his door and Suchart entered his office.

                   "Good evening Mr.Suchart", Tae greeted as polite as he could.

                   "Good evening, Tae", Suchart greeted back cheerfully and took his seat opposite to Tae.

                    Tae's mind drifted back to the information Tee had relayed about Suchart. He remembered the conversations he heard between Suchart and Tee at the gym. The sweet tone Suchart had used with Tee echoed through his ears, and he felt a strong raise in contempt against the said man.

                    "It's rare for a busy person like you to visit me after work hours. So, how can I help you, Mr. Suchart?", Tae asked masking his feelings.

                   "Well, as you know, we just have three more weeks for signing the contract renewal between Kreepolrerk and Khemmonta. Also, I am looking forward to expand my business in the coming quarter. So, I would like to revise the terms and conditions of our contract", Suchart said in a casual tone.

                  Tae gritted his teeth and nodded, "I understand. But why are you here? I am sure you are aware that I am not involved in this contract anymore"

                  "Of course, Tae. You are not a part of your father's empire anymore. But you are still a major shareholder of Kreepolrerk Industries", Suchart said with a pointed gaze, "That leaves you with the right to vote and enjoy other powers in the company"
