It was still bothering me. That child seemed so familiar and to top that up, the brat said that his brother had a photo of me? I watched as the water poured out of the watering can and into the soil that the flowers stood in. I sighed. I'll need to have a serious talk with that kid. If he won't give me answers that leaves me no choice but to kidnap him and force out the answers out of him.

"Hey you done yet?" I turned to Mickey who was arriving from the back yard and also had a watering can in his hand. "Almost," I hummed. "You're hella slow. You started watering the flowers before me and I finished first."

I rolled my eyes. "Oh so now this is a competition about who can finish watering the plants first? What's the reward your gonna get?"

"There's no reward."

"Exactly, now go the fu*k away and let me continue my work in peace." I turned around and tilted the can, letting the water flow out the spout. Mickey hadn't left. He seated himself on a nearby bench, one that aunty would rest on once she was finished watering the flowers. We didn't exchange any words. We never really had a full normal conversation before so it wasn't awkward or anything.

"That weird kid is going out with his father again," Mickey said, pointing towards the next house. I looked over the not too tall fence and there I saw the pink haired boy and his father heading towards their car. "I wonder what they do when they head out sometimes."

I looked at Mickey. "Why do you even care? It's not your business," I said.

"I just sus them okay. They're surely doing some kind of shady work. One time I saw his father exiting his car late night carrying a black bag and the bag had this odd shape."

My eyes widened. So my eyes weren't tricking me that night. "Do. . ." I lowered my voice so that Mickey alone could hear me. "Do you think there was a body in the bag?" Mickey's head snapped to me. "So you witnessed it too," he said. I nodded. "Well of course. There's like a string tied at the neck and another at the ankles and a rope wrapped around the torso."

We stared at each other for a full minute before saying at the same time, "Yup, definitely a body."

Mickey shrugged. "Well it could be that some men were looking at his wife so he got rid of them. If that's the case then I see nothing wrong."

I deadpanned. He was just fu*king talking against the man and now he's siding with him?

"You're too toxic over the ponytail girl. Just confess already and stop watching from afar. Are you gonna let the raven hair dude steal her. If he does I hope I don't hear that he suddenly disappears."

For a sec there was a strange glint in Mickey's yellow eyes. I blinked and just like that it was gone. He rose from his seat and looked at the palm of his hand. "Will you be there for me if that happens?"

What the fu*k is he saying? I was so confused I didn't really know what to say so I simply answered, "Mmm. . .yea. . ."

He went into the house without another word. I stared at the front door that he went through. What is he thinking? My attention turned back to the other house when I heard a car roaring to life. My mind wandered to the pink hair dude acting strange when I caught him pointing his phone camera to my window and to the raven hair kid saying his brother had a photo of me. It couldn't be, right?

I found you, you little creep. I peeked from the wall I hid behind, watching the pink hair dude walk into the library. He had been avoiding me at all cost ever since the day I caught him trying to take a photo of me  without my permission. I know that I should go to aunty about this but I had to be one hundred percent sure he was really taking my pic. All I needed to do is to confirm if he has a little brother or not.

I stepped from behind the wall and went into the library. My worst nightmare...books... The school's library was quite big. Seeing all these books line up in alphabetical orders on the huge shelves made me wanna throw up. I'm not exaggerating, I'm dead serious.

I looked around while walking further in the library.  I finally caught him standing by a shelf in the row that was next to one I was in. I stayed behind the bookshelf watching as he picked up books, looked at them then placed them back into their places one by one. He seemed to find the one he was searching for as a small smiled made  it's way onto his lips. I pulled back my head quickly when he started making his way down the row, towards me. I couldn't make him see me yet. I'd have to wait until he's seated and absorbed in his book to not notice me approaching him. After he found a table he immediately started to read. I waited a few minutes before I started making my way over to him. He finally noticed me when I sat on a chair next to him. He looked up and surprise and shock was written all over his face.

"Hi there," I greeted with a smile. He made a moved to stand but I grabbed his wrist before he could. "Leaving so soon?" He sent back a smile that anyone could tell was forced. "I just remembered that I had somewhere to go." I raised an eyebrow. "Really? Is that the reason or are you actually trying to avoid me?" I asked with a stern expression.

He went into a stuttering mess. Hah caught you in my trap. I released his wrist and he stopped his stuttering. "Let's just have a small talk."

"I'm telling you, I-I have somewhere to go-"

"Do you have a brother?"

His expression changed to confusion. "What? Why are you asking me that?" A blank expression came across my face. "Just answer the damn question. Yes or no."

"Yes."

Then it's gotta be that little brat-

"He's not living with me though. He lives at Japan with his wife."

Oh?

"Wait don't you have a little brother with dark hair and dark eyes?"

He shook his head. "No just one brother."

I went silent. So that means. . .someone else is taking my pics?

"Well, I'm leaving now bye." I hadn't acknowledged him as I was in deep thoughts.

The bell rang, knocking me back into reality. The pink haired boy was gone. I looked at the book he left on the table. He must have been in such a hurry to get away from me that he forgot to put it back. I took it up and looked at the cover.

The porcelain doll that was once human

Huh? For some reason when I read the title I remembered about his mother who looked like a doll. Well that's weird....
