Chapter 35 - First Step

As the age of war grows closer the new knowledge of the tailed-beast and the second prophecy become clear. Tsunade goes to the Cloud Village with the other Kage's to discuss the next course of action. Filling them in on the information Hasu shared, they were baffled; the Tsuchikage was angered, claiming that it was all a ploy so the Leaf Village would take over the nations, but surprisingly the Raikage disagreed along with Gaara.

While the others were surprised by this, he had personal relations with Hasu's father. And from meeting the girl and seeing the blunt similarities he knows deep down she did so for her own family, not the power over villages.

This was hardly brushed over, but accepted and thanked due to this large advantage they must keep to themselves. Thankfully it will stay that way as Hasu shared a seal just for the occasion. The topic shifts to the remaining Jinchuriki, they decide to hide them away.

After the meeting, Tsunade and the Raikage talk in private, with the agreement to let Killer B train Naruto with the condition of Hasu joining them the rest is left to fate. Returning to the Village she gives Naruto and Hasu and S-Ranked mission, to go and help train his tailed-beast.

Hasu POV

Packing my stuff, I give Shika a long loving kiss before heading out to meet Naru-Chan at the gate. Seeing his blond hair up ahead, I catch up with him, sharing a small smile before we continue forward. Seeing Yamato, Guy, and another we travel to the Village Hidden in the Clouds. Feeling a bit excited, I smile at the wondrous future.

Making it to the nearest port, Gai sets sail to fight a legendary monster known to roam the waters. Watching the dispute about the appearance of the creature, it emerges from the waters. Guy gets ready to fight only for another boat to appear and get destroyed, Naru-Chan rushes in to save the boy on the sunken ship. Following him, I protect the two while Naru-Chan takes the boy away.

The boy's words are rude to say the least, and as we discover that the fish is a summoning, we find out the rude boy is the only one willing to go after it. Agreeing to help as a group, we get the materials he needs to take the summoning down. Letting Yusuke handle it, with us as support, he successfully takes down the fish.

The fish cries in pain, with a weapon in his head, Naru-Chan takes it out, letting the fish return to his own world. Sailing off the next morning, we bid the fisher farewell as we continue our journey.

May I say it was long, but worth it as the fog come and go, and the salty sea's current remain calm and passive. While Naru-Chan looks beyond the sea for an octopus, we see an island up ahead. Sailing closer it comes into view, taking in its details we realize the island full of spikes.

Seeing a tentacle, Naru-Chan's smile fade at the squid. Confused he begins to count it's tentacles before being grabbed by one.

"Oh, no."

The squid gets punched by none other than a tailed beast. Feeling it's chakra, I smile, rushing over to watch all the action. While Naru-Chan cheers for the octopus I smile seeing Oji-San getting sucked in by his Jinchuriki.

Naru-chin smiles, "Hey, Octo-pops! Thanks, ya, know!"

I wave at him, "Hello!"

He pulls out a small book; and bust a rhyme making me giggle. Seeing a cloud nin above, we leave the boat following him. I ignore the others walking over to the shade wearing man.

"Nice to meet you, my name is Hasu Uzumaki, and you must be Killer B."

I pull out a hand as he looks up at me and smiles before he could say anything Naru-Chan and the others call us over. As we walk through the forest, I can't help but feel a bit excited. Maybe I'll get to see my Oji-san again; lost in thought we all stop when a large gorilla roars at us only for Killer B to politely speak with him.

"Stand down there king; these guys are with me."

He does so, bending down to converse with B, letting us pass. Heading inside the large building we walk through our own floor. I pick a room, placing my stuff down before wandering off. Finding B's room, I knock on the door softly. Opening it, he looks down at me, "We've been waiting for you."

Feeling a bit nervous I step inside his room turning around to see his fist out. Understanding I connect mine with his, blinking to find myself in a dark room with a giant octopus standing before me.

I smile, "It's nice to finally meet you, Oji-san."

He smiles, "The same goes for me, I've heard about you from Kurama. Never in my wildest dream would I think he had a daughter but here you are."

I nod, "I'm glad to see you and Killer B are safe and happy. When I heard you didn't want to be sealed I was a bit worried but to see you in the flesh eases my doubts."

Killer B shares a bright smile, "It good to know we has family, yo!"

Returning it I bow to him, "Thank you for taking care of my Oji-san, and treating him nicely."

I look up at him, "I know it must have been hard being a Jinchuriki but to watch you two in action working together warms my heart."

I end up talking and occasionally rapping with the two for about an hour before returning to my room. Seeing Naru-chan waiting, I tilt my head a bit.

"What's up?"

He smirks, "Training's starting, wanna watch?"

I nod, "Sure!"

Following him we see Yamato and Motoi, standing before a waterfall. Specifically the Waterfall of Truth. Having to face this obstacle first, we watch him sit with his eyes closed and chakra calm.

Seeing him snap out of it, I rush over to him, "What happened?"

"This guy, he looked just like me! And he, I think he's my dark half. We're both just the same, the same strength, the same jutsu, the same fighting styles same tricks everything is identical to us! We fight forever."

Motoi speaks up, "You must defeat him or you'll never be able to handle the tailed-beast power. I told you the waterfall of truth is merrily the first step."

I look down at the blue-eyed boy, knowing that this may be the hardest step. Oto-san is already feeding him his chakra but if he can't handle his own self then he'll never be able to wield it. Deep down, I know he can do it; he has to.
