Chapter 40 - Dead Glory

Hasu POV

Kakashi and Guy stand in front of us; Naru-chan explains what he's learned. The 5-tails runs to the 8-tails only to get chained down. Hearing her voice, my eyes widen, understanding how there here. The little bit of tailed beast chakra I left to fool the Akatsuki. When he killed them and turned them into his 6 Peins, he controls that power as well.

Seeing them revert to size, I think of an idea. "Cover me."

The three look at me and slowly nod; as the 6 of them try to attack us, I place 3 seals on each arm. The fifth tail grows to its original form along with the 4th tail; activating my sage mode, I slam my hands to the ground, pulsing chakra in the earth.

A tree grows around my body, making me close my eyes and focus on the chakra natures. Opening my eyes I find myself in a cage, seeing my red Oji-san I run into the cage.

He opens his eyes, "Who are you!? What is a filthy human like you doing here?!"

I ignore his words, "I guess we haven't met formally; your other half is safe elsewhere, but now I have to free you and the others as well. I'm Kurama's daughter."

He stares at me wide-eyed as I rip off the seal and break his chains. "If you want to be safe, I need you to release your mind so I can push out the rodes for Naru-chan to pull out."

He continues to stare at me, "He told me about you."

Smiling a bit, I watch him fade as I hop to the next one while freeing my aunts and uncles. Waking up just in time, I see Naru-chan, Guy, and Kakashi holding Tobi off.

Smirking at Tobi, I rush to Naru-chan. "Here's a little gift from Oji-San, Naru-chan!"

Slapping his back, I share the chakra he gave me, allowing Naru-chan to get back into tailed beast mode. Seeing Naru-chan transform once again, I smile at the sight of Oto-san and Naru-chan in their tailed beast transformation.

"Take out the rodes so the link will completely sever!"

Seeing the other beast attack them, I transform into my fox state. Joining the battle, I give Naru-chan a fist bump, helping him out. Seeing a tailed-beast bomb form from the 5 of them Naru-chan and I go a combo attack, creating our own tailed-beast bomb to cancel there's out.

Holding them down with his tails, I share my strength allowing him to hang onto the rods. Blinking I find myself next to Naru-chan, with all my aunts and uncles and their jinchuriki.

Thanking him, I watch him interact with them as they give all their names. Then they look at me, the tailed-beast smile at me there Jinchuriki do the same. The second speaks up, "You are the one who freed us, saved us, for that we thank you."

Sharing their chakra with him, he pulls out their rods. With their consciousness returned to the seals and hopefully the stones, their shells are sucked into the 10-tailed husk.

The statute begins to scream and yell before popping something in its mouth. Returning to my human form to maintain my own chakra, I frown a bit. My eyes widen, feeling Oto-san's chakra in it. With the little bits of the 8 and 9-tails chakra, it can complete its transformation.

It's not as strong as it could have been, but it's still strong enough to do some damage. Naru-chan rushes forward to face it only to go head to head with Tobi. The statue screams as it begins to transform, crying out in pain. I cover my ears feeling the chakra swirl around in it. Getting on my knees, I feel myself being torn apart.

I try to catch my breath, "What's going on with me!"

Feeling one of Naru-chan's clones, I look up to see warm yet worried red eyes, "Oto-san?"

"This hasn't happened since you were a child; I can still feel my chakra in you, so why is this happening!"

"Oto-san? What's going on!"

He explains quickly, "Your chakra was too unstable for your body at a young age, so I embedded my own chakra in your physical form to stabilize it so it won't eat you from the inside out. I don't know why it isn't working. Here!"

Feeling his orange chakra surround me, the pain starts to fade; I catch my breath. "Thank you, now go, Naru-chan needs all the chakra he can get."

Still worried, he nods before poofing away; taking note of this new information, I wonder why my body would react in such a way. Shaking my head, I join the others as Kakashi points out the crack in Tobi's mask.

Killer B tries to take down the statue only to get burned; in turn he tosses us forward to face Tobi. Catching him off guard, one of Naru-chan's attacks is able to hit him. Explaining his jutsu and how Tobi's work. Tobi's words piss me off as he explains his past plans and views; I sense Oto-san, hearing his voice through Naru-chan, I listen closely.

"Sorry, but you're words don't apply to this guy, the fourth instructed him with me. And Naruto has befriended me now and mastered my power too." He begins to power up as he smirks at Tobi, victoriously bringing a smile to my face.

"The 4th Hokage sealed me inside Naruto as a way to take you down. Go Naruto; you will not fail."

Feeling my eyes water, I smile even harder, "It's good to see you two finally bonding, Oto-san, Naru-chan."

Running to Tobi, Naru-chan begins to attack him. With us backing him up, I share my chakra with Kakashi to help him out. Seeing them disappear and return Tobi's identity is revealed. Kakashi is shocked to see Obito, his past friend, a teammate that he thought was dead.

Giving his reason for not coming back, Naru-chan and I remain confused at his reason, while Kakashi's mood drops. Protecting the two, Madera Uchiha stands beside Obito in all his dead glory.
