Chapter 26 - Help

Hasu POV

Spending the rest of the day with Shika, he spends the night at my house after a light dinner. Feeling the sunlight kiss face I try to hide from it, snuggling into Shika's chest. Looking up at his sleeping figure I close my eyes, relaxing my body. Slowly dosing off, my stomach growls, sighing I sit up slowly.

Carefully slipping out of Shika's arm's I kiss his forehead. Making my way to the kitchen, I take out some ingredients before starting the stove up. Putting some oil in the pan I let it loosen as I crack a few eggs in a bowl.

Adding some seasoning and a bit of cheese, I mix it, and pour it in the pan. Starting the rice cooker, I pour the cleaned rice, setting the timer before flipping the egg. Seasoning it a bit more I add some spinach, thin slices of ham, and a bit more cheese.

Flipping it I place the first omelet on the plate, then repeat the process. Cooking away I feel warm arms wrap around my waist. Feeling little kisses on my neck I smile, "Morning Shika."

"Morning Hasu, what smells good?"

"Omelets~"

Turning off the stove, I place the last omelet on a separate plate. Turning me around Shika places his lips on mine. Letting my arms hang on his shoulders, he keeps his hands on my hips. As his hands slowly slide down, he moves his lips to my neck. Sucking gently, I try to catch my breath.

"S-Shika?"

"Hmm?"

"T-the food, i-it's going to-"

Placing me on the countertop he reaches over, turning off the rice cooker. Standing between my legs he gives me a sly smile. "Let's worry about that later, it'll be here when we're done."

Placing his lips on mine, my hands find his chest, feeling my body heat up I smile, feeling him press against me I moan a bit. Before we could proceed there's a knock on the door, groaning we pull away from each other. Placing his forehead on mine, I try to calm my heartbeat.

"What a drag."

I give him a quick kiss before he lets me go, "Set up the plates, I'll see who's at the door."

Nodding he helps me off the countertop, the knocking continues, "I'm coming!"

Opening the door, I smile at the sight of Naru-chan, leaning against the door, I cross my arms.

"Morning, Naru-chan, what's up."

"Morning Hasu-chan, wanna get some Raman?"

I shake my head, "Sorry, already having breakfast. Now, what's the real reason you're here because you'd never get up this early on your day off unless you're training or going to meet with Kakashi."

He starts to sweat looking down, "Ok, you caught me, the fox, and I wanted to see how things were going on the mission."

Looking back, I turn towards Naru-chan, "Come back in an hour, and we can talk, I have company over."

He nods, "Ok, see you soon."

Nodding I close the door, walking into the dining room. I smile at the sight of Shika pouring us some orange juice. Sitting down next to him, we close our eyes.

"Thanks for the food."

Digging in, we chat a bit before I shift the topic. "Shika, I have to tell you something. As you know I have mastered Fūinjutsu during my training. But what you don't know, is that I'm using this to both save the Jinchuuriki and my Oto-san's siblings, the 9-tail fox. In about an hour, you can stay if you'd like?"

Looking up at him, I chuckle at his shocked expression, closing his mouth I take a sip of my OJ.

"I had a feeling you were up to something, but I didn't know it was so big. How has it been going so far?"

I continue eating, " During my last mission I deployed several shadow clones, giving them all the task to retrieve the other-tailed beast before the Akatsuki can, tricking them into believing they stole them. So far it's been successful, I have retrieved tails 1 through 4, with each jinchuuriki walking away alive and safer than before. They should at least survive for a little while longer."

"Now that I think about it, why won't you do the same to Naruto and your father? Wouldn't that be easier for the both of them? Or is there a catch with this extraction."

I give him a small smile as I collect our empty plates, I walk over to the sink and begin washing them, "There's a catch. If the Akatsuki catches them with the tailed-beats present in them, they'll die. That's why I've been so precise on the timing of each extraction. With that being said, the extraction can come with side effects. If done correctly, which it has been so far, years will be cut off from your life. While you may be expected to live a 70 maybe a 100 years, the extraction will cut off 40 to 50 years. Now if I did that to Naru-chan his could be cut down even further. Not only does he hold the strongest tailed beast, but if I make one error, one wrong move along the way it could cut his like to 60 or even 70 years. I've found loopholes to stay in contact with Oto-san, so I won't risk his life."

Turning off the water, I look down at the sink. Feeling his arms slip around my waist, I lean back against Shika's warm chest. "I can help you if you'd like?"

I chuckle a bit, "And what are you going to do?"

Turning me around he grows serious, before placing his head in the crook of my neck. "Well for starters, my team usually takes mission facing nin from other villages. I can gather any useful intel so the next time you deploy your clones they'll be prepared for anything."

I smile, watching as he looks down at me, giving him a quick peck on the lips I place my hand on his cheek.

"That would be perfect."

Sometime later, Naru-chan returns. Currently, Oto-san, Shika, and I standing in the warm cave within Naru-chan's mind. Informing Oto-san of how well my missions going I can't help but notice him glancing at Shika from time to time.

Giving our farewells, he can't help but give him a dad's speech before returning to his slumber. Spending the rest of my day with Shika I keep the everlasting smile on my lips.
