Chapter 50 - Precious Flower

Hasu POV

Naru-chan's and Hinata's big day is coming up, and I must say I'm glad Naru-chan popped the question! I can't help but wonder if Shika will pop the question one day. Our date was cut short due to the moon literally falling, and afterward, we were smashed with work, so the wedding was our only break besides our time at home.

With today being our only day off, I sip some tea, hearing a soft poof from a message fox.

"Lady Hasu! A message from the Great Sage!"

I take the letter and smile, reading over it, I grow excited. "Of course! We'll be there tonight!"

He nods before disappearing, "Shika! Shika!"

Seeing him in the living room he turns to look at me, "What's going on?"

I smile at him, "Get your best outfit ready for tonight; we're going to the Jikan Festival!"

"The Jikan Festival? What that?"

"In the Fox Sage world, once every 9 years, time slows down and matches this realm. In the past, they say this happened so the foxes could go and spread cheer to humans throughout the night. I've only been once when I was a little girl, and now it's happening tonight! Jiji invited us, and I'm so excited!"

He smiles up at me, "Ok, I'll make sure I'm ready right before sundown."

I freeze, "I have to get a new kimono!"

Rushing off to the store, I scold myself for having to do this so last minute. Going through the store rake, I find the perfect one. I purchase it before getting stopped by Konohamaru.

"Big Sis! Send a message to Big Bro Naruto and Hinata!"

I nod while he gets the recorder up, giving a thumbs-up; I smile at the camera. "Congratulations, Naruto, Hinita! May your marriage be filled with happiness and love! I'm proud of both of you."

He stops the recording before crying tears of joy, "Thank you, Big Sis!"

I tilt my head in confusion, "No Problem?"

Heading off, I get pulled away by everyone for different tasks. They're trying to get good wedding gifts for the upcoming wedding. I can't help but feel thankful that I already got mine as soon as I found out he wanted to propose.

After a long day, I find Shika in his outfit, as he waits for the living room. I smile at him, "Handsome as ever, let me get dressed real quick; you wouldn't believe the day I had!"

Heading to our bedroom, I freshen up, slipping on my outfit and pinning up my hair. Walking out, I smile at Shika, "Ready!"

Turning to look at me he blushes a bit, keeping his eyes on me as I give him a quick kiss on the lips.

"Let go~."

Holding his hand, I reverse summon us to the Fox Sage world as the sun sets, the blue and white lights shine as the laughter spreads like wildfire. I turn and smile at Shika, "Come on; let's go!"

Rushing down he follows afters me, after a while, we make it down. The other foxes greet us as we walk by. I turn to Shika, "Come on! Let's see Jiji first; I have to be with him so he can make the announcement!"

He nods, walking beside me as we continue forward, making it to the largest building; I see Jiji lying down at the entrance as he watches his people enjoy the ongoing night.

"My little lotus, Hasu. Shikamaru. I'm so glad you could make it!"

I smile at him, "Hi, Jiji!"

He chuckles at my excitement, "You grow more beautiful by the day."

"Aw, thank's Jiji." Walking up the stairs with Shika by my side Jiji rises. The others below look up to see the great white fox swirl his tails around in joy and delight.

"More time passes, and this world continues to prosper! May it continue to do as our Little Lotus Blossoms and our strength proper's from this world and the next! May the Jikan Festival begin with its traditional dance! Hasu? Would you like to join?"

My eyes sparkle as I nod, "Of course! I've been meaning to show you guys something too!" Rushing down the stairs, I focus on my chakra, transforming into my Kitsune form; everyone gasps. Smiling at them with my purple eyes, they nod as they hand me my fans. The music starts as the bums play.

Dancing like I did all thoughts years ago, I move in sync with the other like the great foxes in the past. Feeling myself relax I move with ease as my tails sway elegantly and my ears touch the start sky.

Feeling myself transcend the world around me, the music comes to an end as everyone cheers. Seeing that I'm crowded by everyone, they give me, and the dancers praise and congratulations on my new form.

Shikamaru POV

I smile down at Hasu, admiring her beauty and new form.

"So when are you doing to propose."

I almost choke before looking up at the large Fox; he only smiles down at Hasu as she chuckles at one of the Foxes who's offering her food.

"I will soon when the time is right."

"Good. She deserves all the stars in the sky, she is our precious lotus, our precious princess."

I smile, "Don't worry; she's in good hands."

"Shika!"

She waves at me, "Coming."

As I begin to walk-off, I stop hearing his soft voice, "Thank you."

Smiling at him one last time, I continue my journey down the stairs to see my precious flower.
