Chapter 34

Jungkook's POV

A soft gasp escaped my lips once I realised I wasn't in my chamber , the room looked shabby, it was cold and dark , just a lantern to light up the whole room? Where am I? I groaned slowly lifting my body up. My eyes widened as I looked down at the bandages around my torso , I wasn't sure what happened to me but my whole body was hurting , I felt so weak , so exhausted. " A-any..." I tried to call out but I was too weak to speak. I had no option but to helplessly lay on that small bed , eyeing the door.

The last thing I remember was running away from the border guards of Sercaria ,, then my horse....umm...what actually happened? Don't say I fall off the cliff? Where's my horse? Damn it. Where are my hyungs? Where am I ?

The bandages were already turning crimson , I don't wanna die like this , I wanna meet her. I can't die without meeting my princess. Fuck ,, didn't expect to be in this state w--

My thoughts got interrupted when I heard the front door creak open , " W-who..." Fuck ,, I hate being like this , there's not even a weapon to protect my self.

" Ohhh....uhh.." I frowned as my gaze slowly landed on a small figure staring at me with eyes filled with worries. " Are you okay? Is it hurting ,, shall I change the bandages?" She asked in a soft tone but who was she? I was never so curious after my 8th birthday.

" Y-yah who are you? Why am I here? Where are my hyungs? How I got here and what happened ....those aahh-" I groaned as I felt my wound open up , " ugh.."

" Yoona..." She sighed looking at the bandages before grabbing the fresh ones and walking towards me , " I'm Kim Yoona ,, I was walking by the river where I found you ,, bleeding , unconscious , trapped in between the tree branches ,, with a branch pierced on your shoulder blade ,, so I brought you here , bandaged you. About your hyungs?" She slowly started undoing the bandages , making me stare at her with confused gaze. " You were all alone when I found you. I don't really know what happened to your companions." She mumbled as she completed dressing and changing my bandages.

" W-what....ugh ...I need to go , they must be in danger. Where's my sword...my clothes?" I groaned holding on my wounds , it was really something I couldn't believe. How come I ended up being in such a helpless state. What happened to Namjoon and Jin .....are they okay? Are they even alive?

" You should eat something before moving around , you must be really tired and weak from the blood loss." She smiled before bowing and walking out. I was literally so confused what happened but I think she was right. I should gain enough energy before heading out. But I'm so worried , how can I eat without hyungs ? They must be hungry too. Ugh.

I snapped out when I heard the woman walking in with food , I frowned at the food before looking up at her. " What are these?"

" Food. Sorry I don't have groceries here ,, this place is pretty unfamiliar to me and no one lives around so , I picked some lotus roots and whatever I found around to make these. Don't complain and eat it." She mumbled with a straight face and sighed while placing the wooden chopsticks down.

" Dumplings and....uhhh this is the worst food ever but I understand ....wait , you aren't native?" I stared at the food , I never had something like that , the dumplings weren't even fried or were stuffed with chicken. And the soup really looked like water and some pig nose plant. And who likes the leaves , not me ...

" You act like you are prince of some kingdom. Just eat it and be grateful , child. Or I'll kick you out of here!!" She frowned and glared at me making me pout but surprisingly she smiled and looked at me. " Who are you , I never asked."

" Me? Umm...I'm just a..." I licked my lips and slowly sipped the soup , my eyes widened at how sweet and delicious it was. The soft tender roots , earthy taste while a bit crunchy because of peanut. It was heaven. I smiled slurping down , it was like I was hungry for ages. She giggled making me stop and glance at her. " I'm a traveller , I am a Mesmerian , I was travelling from Mesmeria to Sercaria...ugh why don't I remember what happened..."

" Don't stress yourself mister...??" She looked at me making me blink and pick up a dumpling.

" Damien." I gulped and shoved some Chinese broccoli in my mouth. Even they were delicious , the nuna was really a good cook. " That's my name and I was on a trip with my brother and his boyfriend. But they are lost now..." I paused , " what place is this? Where am I?"

" Don't worry , I won't harm you. And this is Sercaria forest. It's a bit away from the main town and no one really lives around as its secluded place far away from the palace." She got up and glanced at the empty plates. " Are you full? Shall I serve you some more soup?" I shook my head and looked out of the window. The night sky looked beautiful , blue and dark. Just like her eyes....

" I'm fine. But I have to go look for my hyungs once the sun arises. I need to go..." I bit my bottom lip while laying on the bed. She glanced at me one last time before walking out with the crockeries.

Author's POV

The younger male sighed as his gaze landed at the wounded male beside him. " Yah....why you did that?" He asked while trying to wake him up. It was long since the other was unconscious. " Kim Seokjin....you better wake up..... please.." Namjoon stared at his pale body glistening under the moonlight.

" We have to search for Jungkook as well , why I agreed to follow him ....why I agreed to let him sneak out of palace at the first place." Tears rolled down his cheek as he looked around just to see dark silhouettes of huge tree and a river running by. The night was really dark with the beautiful moon.

" I think it was my fault....it all happened because of me..." Namjoon leaned against the tree with unconscious Jin's head on his lap. Worried , scared and tired.

Where are you Jeon Jungkook?
