So I'll be posting shorter chapters because I need more time for studying for my classes, but I'll still try and update at least twice a week. Anyways enjoy this next chapter!

It's been around 3 months since I left the orphanage. 3 months since Deborah died. 3 months since I took Mishka into my care. 3 whole months without Peter.

I missed Peter. He made me smile when I thought I couldn't. He made my bad days become good days. He made me feel like I was good enough.

I had been home schooling Mishka and Noelle, while Sydney went to her job at the animal clinic. Turns out she had graduated from college with a degree in Doctor of Medicine and Masters Degree in Medical Sciences and had enough experience to get a job as one of the lead vets.

I had been shadowing Emma since Deborah passed. It was hard to continue without her, but I had to do it. For mom.

It was hard working all of my jobs, but I had to pay for food and water, as well as clothes.

Sydney would soon be moving into an apartment somewhere in Brooklyn. I had given her some of my hard-earned money so that she could get it sooner. She had already seen the apartment and she would be moving in sometime next week.

We had gotten close. She was kind of like a mom to me, and Noelle and Mishka has become best friends.

She even offered to let us stay with her when she moved in.

I declined, not wanting to be a bother, but she didn't take no for an answer.

After moving into the small apartment, we had signed the two girls up for school.

Noelle was older by 16 days. Her birthday was on March 24th, while Mishka's was on March 8th. They were now both 5 years old, and already knew the basics of Algebra.

I had also gotten the legal papers so that I could officially adopt Mishka. By April 3rd she was going to be mine, and she wouldn't be taken away from me if I returned to the orphanage.

Okay so I know it's short but I'm rly busy so I might post another short one tomorrow or Thursday.
