He had said it. Confessed it. Yelled it at her face. Now she knew the truth; he loved her.

Levi sunk to his knees, the calm facade he had been putting on for days finally breaking. He crouched so low, he laid his head in her lap, tears now trailing down his face.

"Please... allow me to continue to love you."

There was a silence; all he heard was Y/N's shaky breath. Her legs were hot under the furry blanket, a comforting feeling against the panic surging through his heart like a tide. Then, suddenly, he felt something warm on his head.

It was smaller than a finger, but moister than a stick or a stone. At first, he didn't recognize the feeling, it was so surreal and foreign to him he couldn't comprehend it. But when he looked up at her illuminated face, his heart soared.

She was kissing him. Him, Levi. Her soft lips were planted on his forehead, gentle and full. She pulled back with a tiny gesture, then smiled down on him. Even though she was disheveled, bandaged and broken, Y/N had never looked more ethereally beautiful.

"I love you too."

Suddenly, he was looking up at her, her barely parted mouth and rosy cheeks, her gleaming eyes and adoring light, and before he knew it, he was kissing her. She didn't push him away, didn't reject him, but instead welcomed his lips' embrace. It was a slow, enduring kiss, her warm breath on his and the two of them present in the moment with each other.

After it ended, after they stopped to breathe, he couldn't resist and pulled her in again. He had never confessed to anyone before, and definitely hadn't planned on kissing anyone ever, but he had never been happier to do something new. He surely wouldn't forget this memory in all his life. The cool night passed further and further on as they kissed, over and over again, doing nothing but hold the other and wish the moment would last forever.

A/n: A short chappie... but we're back to fancy letters. I'm not complaining.
