Chapter 7

Today was the first day of school at the academy. I through on my uniform, slipped into my black flats and did my make up as James dressed in black slacks and a purple dress shirt. We got all our books together and headed into James car.

"You nervous yet," James said to me as we neared the school.

"A little," I said honestly.

James parked in the closes spot to the doors to the academy and we walked into our homeroom class hand in hand. It was cool because Kittarra was our homeroom teacher who is also James's mom. The class was an auditorium and it was split into 8 different sections facing a stage in the middle of the room. We sat in the middle of the second section which was the witch section. James lead me to our seats and we listened to the anousments. We then got to do what ever and James lead me to a seating area and I sat next to him on the couch.We were joined by a tall dark haired vampire as he sat in the chair across from us.

"Violet this is my younger half brother Seth," James said oveously not happy that he came over.

Seth smiled at me and placed a glass of water on the table a little to close to the edge and it fell.

"Shit," said Seth as he got up and went to find something to clean up the water with.

I just stared at the water as I imagend it going back into the glass on the table. And then the water turned semi solid and went back into the glass, James laughed as Seth came back and through the rag on the table.

"You could of told me that she had an affinity with water," Seth said as he sat back down in the chair.

"A what," I said looking at James.

"An affinity is when you can controls and element, like you just did with the water. It is fairly common for our kind to have an affinity or two," said James as he smiled at me. Then the bell rang.
