SLAM. Diana got in the car and crossed her arms. She hadn't said a word the whole time I picked her up, just a blank stare. Luckily besides a few rips in her clothes, and a few scratches she seemed to make it out the fight unscathed. The Dean said that Di had refused to talk to him and only said 'you wouldn't understand'. He chose to suspend her for five days and the other girls involved in the fight for three days. I turned around to face Diana.

"Look I know that this has not been your best day, but if you don't start explaining to me why I am missing my lunch to pick you up, we're gonna fight." I said.

"Do I have to?" She said, staring at her feet.

"If you don't want to talk about it now it's fine, but you have to tell me something, again, I'm skipping a meal for you." I tried to be patient, she was similar to her brother, push her too much and she'll lash out, don't push and they will never tell you.

"They were ripping on Shaun, calling him crackhead, and other stuff." she said, still staring at the floor.

"I'm sorry, Di. You don't deserve that."

"Can we talk later?"

"Course, I have to take you back to work with me, I don't have time to drop you off at home, you'll have to stay in my office until I get off. Please don't be like your brother and wander through the hospital and get lost." I said pulling out of the parking lot, hoping not to catch any traffic or I was going to be so late. It was hard to deal with Diana, it was a really awkward position to be in considering we weren't her parents and yet we kind of were. At least Jesse was her brother, he had some authority.

"Kay." She said putting headphones in and closing her eyes.

Once we got home Diana told us what really happened. Apparently one of her classmate's father was a police officer who happened to arrest Shaun and eventually they put two and two together and realized that was her brother and laughed about it, and made one joke about her father as she tried to walk away and she started swinging. I could tell she was probably leaving some things out but from what she told us, Jesse and I were very understanding, however his mother? Not so much.

Aiesha was livid, and spent over an hour laying into Diana over facetime. Jesse tried to tell his mom that she was being too hard on her and then his mom yelled at him for not teaching her right. So then it became a Jesse vs Aiesha yelling match, she ended up hanging up on him vowing to make things right whenever she came back from her trip, which she also declined to tell us when she was coming back. So after that Diana had completely shut down and refused to leave her room. The rest of the week wasn't so bad, I mean we really didn't care that she had been suspended as long as she got her school work done.

I crackled a few eggs into the hot pan. I didn't feel like making a sophisticated breakfast today. It was a beautiful Saturday morning, sunny and unsually warm day for the first week of November. I was the forst one up this morning and was waiting for Jesse to come downstairs. It had been a long week after Diana's fight and subsequent suspension from school or at least felt like it.

"Are you in my shirt? Bring your sexy ass here!" Jesse said as he entered the kitchen. He was shirtless, only in pajama pants, looking pretty sexy himself. He always loved when I wore his clothes. I was in one of his oversized t-shirts with no pants on. His shirt went just a little past my thighs. He walked over to where I was standing and kissed my cheek, his facial hair tickling my face and making me giggle. He wrapped his arms around me and whispered in my ear, "How about you cut the stove off so I can bend you over this counter and teach you about stealing my clothes."

"Oh really? You're going to punish me?" I said, turning around to face him. His hands slowly traveled down and cupped my butt as I put my arms around his neck.
