After two years

Scarlet POV

"Scarlet, your admire that no longer secret anymore is looking for you," Cassandra said in a low tone while a naughty smile crept on her face.

"He is not my admire. He is just a friend, don't make any assumption." I warned her, worried that Raymond will hear our conversation.

"It is so obvious that he admired you. Everyone can see that except you. I doubt that your eyes functioning well. You might need a doctor." I send her an annoyed look.

"Just go and meet him. Maybe you guys can make some progress soon." She giggled with her own remark. I rolled my eyes at her and slightly slapped her arm and placed my index finger on my lips to warn her not to say anything that sounds ridiculous. I strode out from the kitchen and went to meet Raymond.

"Hey Raymond, you are here." He was seated at one of the tables near the counter. He came to the cafe every day except the day he was out of town.

"Hey, Scarlet. How are you today?" He asked in his gentleman way. He placed a kiss on my hand which I didn't say anything as I get used to his action.

"Come on, Raymond. You just met me yesterday." I teased him, at the same time taking a seat across him.

"Just want to make sure you are fine. How is your work today?" He asked with a smile on his face.

"Cafe is doing great. I'm glad that people still coming to this place ordering our signature cupcake and drinks. It was occupied with customers especially in the morning and weekend."

"Yeah, I can see that. Even I got to admit that I became the fan of the café." The sentence ended with a wink from him. "Oh ya, I want to ask what are you doing this coming weekend? Do you have any plan?"

"The usual stuff, stay in the café until closing time. Cassandra will be with me here."

"How about night time?"

"No plan at the moment," I said looking at him.

"How about dinner with me after that?"

"So, my café's fan is asking me out for a date?" I asked jokingly.

"Sort of," he answered staring at my face which made me feel uncomfortable. It became tensed with his serious expression.

"Can I ask Cassandra to join too?" I hope he will say yes to my request. It will be good to avoid the awkwardness between us.

"I don't mind about that. It's up to you." Not that I didn't notice the hint of disappointment on his face.

"I will ask her later."

"Sure, no problem." He smiled at me. "Oh, I got to go to work." He added and stood up from his seat.

"See you on Saturday night." I waved my hand at him as he slowly moved away.

"See you, Scarlet. I will pick you up from here." He headed to the exit door. I nodded and smiled at him. I observed him until he was gone from my sight.

A sigh escaped my lips once his image disappeared from my sight. I don't even know if I should treat it as a date. I'm not sure if he really has feeling towards me like what Cassandra claimed.

"Babe, you can chase him if you want him to stay." I heard Cassandra's voice from the counter. The table was closed to the counter, so I could hear her clearly.

"That's not about it," I said walking towards the counter.

"I heard someone having a date this coming weekend." She teased.
