Scarlet POV

Coming out from my bathroom, my eyes caught the sight of the knee-length skirt that sprawled nicely on the bed. I stroll nearer, touching the soft fabric of the skirt. Noticing the notes beside the skirt, I took it before reading it.

'It will be an honor if you're willing to wear this tonight.

Your guardian without wings'

A smile clouded my face reading his notes. So, should I expect for some surprise? Well, he never bothers about my choice of outfit and probably there is something different for tonight.

With an excited heart, I quickly grab the skirt and allowing it to clutch onto my body. I walked past the big mirror and take a glimpse of my appearance, only then realizing that I need to set my hair and put on some makeup. I made everything in a quick mode; refused to let Miguel wait too long for me.

Grabbing my purse, I walked out of my room, headed towards the living room, peeking around to see if he was waiting for me but it was empty. He wasn't there.

"I'm here," I felt a pair of hands sneaked around my waist, pulling me closer until my back leaned completely on his body.

"I like the way you braided your hair." His fingers touched my hair that I pull to one side. He then covered my bare shoulder with his butterflies kisses that slowly trailed to my collarbone.

l leaned my head onto his chest, cranking my head up to meet his eyes, I asked, "Should I expecting for any surprises tonight?" I couldn't cover my excitement.

"I though every day feel like a surprise when you spend time with me."

"Look, how good you're in talking," I rolled my eyes playfully with his answer. Pecking my lips, we intertwined our hands and got out of his penthouse. Unsure about his plan, I decided to follow without asking much about it. At least, I know he won't upset me, which was for sure.

Miguel POV

"Alright, here we are."

"Is this open? No one is here, Miguel. Are you sure we are allowed to enter?" She looked around, eyeing the surrounding of the quiet café with her scrunched face.

"Did you notice something about this place?"

"Yes, no one is here."

I chuckled with her answer, "Not that, Caramel. Other than that, what else did you notice?"

A smile slowly crept on her face as she slowly takes in the sight of the café clearly. "Miguel," her eyes surveyed the surrounding.

"Hmm, what is it?" With my crossed arms on my chest, I observed her.

"This resembled my café. You see, everything is the same here, the vintage design and the display. Oh, it comes with the rooftop too?" Now, her eyes were on me.

"Come, let's check it out." I offered my hand, and she immediately grabbed it, making our hands molded perfectly. "Oh wait, before that. Let me do something," with that, I moved to the entrance door and turned the signboard to close, and locked the door from inside.

"Wait, Miguel-" I pressed my thumb onto her lips, shushing her; aware of the fact that many unanswered questions mingles in her head.

"No more question, Caramel. You will learn about it later, alright?"

She pulled my hand away, "You're so strange today, Miguel. I hope we won't get caught and ended in prison for breaking into someone's café."

I couldn't help but holler in laughter. "Sometimes I really want to dive into your head and see what inside there." I pinched the bridge of her nose, making her squealed.
