Roman's POV:
I don't know how to feel about this new kid. I know! I was the one who made the call, but I only did that because the others seemed like they really wanted him in the group. We don't even know him though! No one really does. Well except that other kid with him. Crap, I didn't ask his name. Anyway, I don't know what it is about him, it just feels... weird. I don't know how to describe it. It's kinda fuzzy? It doesn't matter.
After that little encounter, I went about my day and actually realized I had a lot of classes with him. Like, all but one. I don't know why but I was kinda bummed when I realized he wasn't in my third period class. -Not really though. I kept thinking about him all day which was annoying 'cause I'd think of him and then try and concentrate and that would just make me concentrate on him! What is up with me!
I mean like, piercings? Pass. Dyed hair? Nope! And I caught a small glimpse at a small storm cloud with a lightning bolt on his neck. Huh, not that bad. Er- that's not the point!
And who cares if I like the way his hair swoops and falls perfectly in front of one eye! And so what if he's really fit! Like, really ripped! Like, holy crap the muscles! I wonder why he tries to cover it up? Honestly he goes a pretty good job. You can't really tell t'il your up close, and no one ever really gets too close. God! What am I doing? Obsessing over some rando I've met twice! Twice!!
Why am I acting so off today? I need to pull myself together before the others get here. Speaking of which: the doorbell rings and Remus bursts through the door, arms outstretched.
"Where were you?" I insinuate.
"Out." He smirks and winks. "Janus is in the garage."
"How'd he-"
"Don't ask."
"...ok? D' you know where Logan is?"
"Oh, yeah, he texted saying he was at his grandparents and he wouldn't be back til approximately 3:52." He mimicked Logan.
I chuckled, "Ok, we'll just start without him."We went in the garage to see Virgil on a stool in the corner on his phone, his laptop propped up on a random box next to him. Janus was attempting to untangle the speaker cords for his guitar. He'd mostly fixed it, but had given up on one knot when Remus came over and plopped himself directly on his lap.
"Really?"
Remus just smiled at him to which Janus smirked and rolled his eyes. I just ignored their "in love-ness"and pulled up a stool.Virgils POV:
I was really nervous. I was just sitting there on my phone, spamming Patton as he tried his best to reassure me that everything was gonna be fine. I'd picked out a song just in case I had to sing. They never really said what i had to have prepared for my audition. I decided to torture myself and spoke up.
"So... how long have you two been together?" I asked, looking up from my phone and directing my attention to Remus and Janus.
"Um, three years this December!" Remus said cheerfully, "But we've known each other for... six now?" He asked more than stated. Janus nodded.
I felt so out of place. These guys has known each other for so long and I'd just met them the other day.
You don't belong with them.
Shut up
They'll abandon you.
Stop
Push them away before they hurt you.
I said stop
They will hurt you."So! Do you have everything you need?" Roman said, ripping me away from my shitty thoughts.
"Um, I think? Do need a mic or something?"
"Oh! Yeah, sorry" he hopped up and grabbed the stand from off to the side and giving an awkward chuckle. He set it up and spun it to face me.
"There you go!" He sat back down. Was he blushing? God, well now I'm blushing. Great.
