Chapter XXVI

Gone

I should've stayed with her. I should've controlled my anger and stayed with her. I could've fought them off her. And now she's in a cell, with a rogue, dangerous Alpha, all alone because of me.

"Fuck!" I punched the wall, leaving a hole in it. I couldn't sleep after we talked last night, I couldn't eat. All I can do is worry about her.

I know she can take care of herself, but that fucking bastard! He's the one I'm worried about.

"Alpha!" I heard Jax's voice on the other side of the door. "What?" I asked. "We've narrowed down the area of where she migh- Do you know where she is?" I interrupted his sentence.

"Well- Do you know where she is or not!" I yelled. "No." "Then leave." I didn't have time for games. I'm looking for my mate and I will find her.

'Princess? Can you hear me?'

'X-Xavier?' She sounded so tired.

'Hey little one, are you alright?'

'The mattress isn't as soft as our bed is.' I chuckled at her words.

'Don't worry, you'll be back here soon. I promise.'

'I know. How are you? Have you eaten?'

'...'

'Xavier, have you eaten or not?' The only woman who scares me in the best way possible.

'I can't, I'm worried about you.'

'You're not making me feel any better by starving yourself. Eat something. Please.'

'Fine.'

'Good! So what're we eating?'

I walked down the stairs to the kitchen.

'Pretty sure there's still some pasta in the fridge.'

'Sounds good! I can't wait.'

'It's in the microwave. Now what about you?'

'He won't let me starve so I'll eat then.'

'I hate this!'

'I know, me too.'

'If you have to reveal your powers to protect yourself, please do. I don't want you hurt in any way when you get back.'

'I will. I promise.'

'The pasta's done.'

'Good. Eat.'

I ate pasta while we talked about random things but it wasn't the same.

I missed her touch.

Her scent.

Her beautiful green eyes.

Her soft red hair.

Her gorgeous body.

I missed her.

'I have to go someone's coming.'

'Stay safe for me princess.'

'I will. I love you!'

'I love you too.'

"Alpha, are you okay?" a pack members son came up to me. "Yeah, I'm fine." I gave him a small smile.

"Where are your parents?" I asked him. "Luke! Luke! Where are you? Luke- Oh my! Alpha, I-I am so sorry." A woman's voice could be heard.

"It's fine, really. He wasn't a bother." I looked at the mother. "Now you, you stay out of trouble Mister." I ruffled his hair a bit. He chuckled before nodding and heading off with who I assume to be, his mother.

It had been a few days and we still hadn't found my mate. I was restless, anxious, annoyed and extremely agitated. Not to add, I was growing weak, so the pack was growing weak.

"Alpha! We found her!" Alec bust into my office, yelling. I wasn't even annoyed that he came in without knocking. "Where?" I growled, standing up and following him. "Actually, she's outside." he spoke.

I was shocked. Why the hell would he bring her back? He didn't want us together. "It looks like an attack. They have wolves ready to kill us and he has her next to him. Her hands are tied and she looks tired."

"Get 150- They're already there, we were waiting for you." Alec informed me as we arrived at the door. I could already smell her. God, I missed that sweet mixture of vanilla and lilies. I pushed open the doors and walked outside.

There she was.

Her hair was messy.

Her eyes were fighting to stay open.

Her clothes were ripped.

God, she looked gorgeous.

Her eyes met mine and I knew that she was going to be my wife and the mother of my pups.

'Hi.' I heard her voice in my head.

'Hey'

'You look absolutely beautiful.'

'No I don't. I've missed you so much. Get me away from him please.'

'No. I want you to teach him and his rogues a lesson. Burn them.'

I saw a wicked smile on her face and I couldn't help but smirk.

"Well, well, well. Look at us. An Alpha, his mate and his soon to be, Beta." Brad spat the last word, feeling cocky. "No. I already have a Beta." I retorted.

He rolled his eyes. "I'll kill him." I saw Danielle's eyes widen. "No! Don't you dare! Keep your hands off of him!" she struggled against his grasp.

"Why? Who is he to you?" he leaned down to her height, a little too close for my liking. I let out a growl and she backed away, keeping her head down.

'I promise, I will keep your brother safe princess. Chin up. Please. For me?' I hated seeing her like this. God knows what he put her through.

She nodded before looking up at me.

'Beautiful.' I complimented before she turned red and bit her lip. "What the hell is going on here?" Brad caught her attention again. "Get the hell out of here Brad! You're no where near fit to be an Alpha." I rolled my eyes, trying to get his attention off of Danielle.

"You're no where near fit to be her mate. She loves me. Who do you think you are? You're nobody. Someone like her shouldn't be with someone like you. You're-" I didn't let him finish before I changed into my wolf and charged at him.

Alex was yearning to be fully let out and I let him. After that, I blacked out.
