First, you took
my friend's brain
crawling through her
cells, and stealing away
her life, her love, hermemories; stacked up in
boxes in my own brain,
remembering them for her
when her's could no longer store
such jovial matters when such a
harsh fight against the
tumour inside was
necessary to cling to life.Gone.
You took her from my arms.Next you took my
sister's ovaries,
shattering her dreams of
a little baby girl
along with my family's
life as we knew it.Bloody catalyst,
ripping us apart and
thieving us of
another bright soul.Then you tore
my best friend to bits,
infecting her Father's
bone structures
so that he
crumbled like old brickwork
before her very eyes,
leaving me to pick up her pieces. But I could not pick up his, for I
was far too late. Was this not enough
for your hunger?
You just had to go
one step further.Another person I love
taken. You ran riot
through his blood
until it slowed;
stopped flowing
for good.When will enough
be enough
for you, I wonder?
Murderer.Pray spare me
from your clutches
despite the cursed
genes I own.
But if I have the choice
choose me, not them.Can't take
another loss
of anything
but myself.
