From a distance I watched Raven. She was crouching beside Finn's lifeless body, weeping. I sat quietly, my own tears streaming down my face freely, not showing any signs of stopping. I stood up slowly, making my way over to them. My body was racking with sobs as I took him in. He looked like he was in a peaceful sleep. I sat down on the ground beside his body and took his cold lifeless hand into my own. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Clarke heading over to us.
"Go away." Raven mumbled as Clarke stood towering over us.
"I'm sorry, Raven." Clarke just replies. Raven stands up abruptly, causing me to follow her lead, not wanting anything else to happen.
"I said, go away." She repeats, fresh tears rolling down her face.
"I know this must be hard for you, but I'm leaving with the grounders, and I need you to keep working on the radio." Clarke tells her as some grounders came up and began to pick up Finn's body.
"What're you doing?" I ask the grounders in horror.
"They need to take him now." Clarke explains.
"Like hell they do." Raven says, pushing her way to get through to Finn.
"Give us a minute, please." Clarke asks the grounders, who nodded and placed his body down again, "Please Raven." She pleads to the girl.
"You agreed to this?" I ask Clarke in disbelief.
"We're taking him back to the village, where the massacre took place. There's a death ritual. It's the only way to get our people out of Mount Weather." Clarke explains.
"Then we're coming too." Raven gestured to her and I, "and don't worry, I'll bring your damn radio." She sneers and heads off.
"We head off right now. Et your things and tell Bellamy." Clarke instructed me. I nodded and quickly headed back to the ark to find Bellamy and grab our gear. I found him sitting in our tent, a knife in one hand and a large chunk of wood in the other. He seemed to be whittling a type of wooden sculpture.
"What're you doing?" I ask, wrapping my arms around his neck, just to make sure.
"A wooden sculpture for little munchkin." He says. I smiled at the look of determination on his face.
"Well, I guess that's going to have to wait because we need to go. Right now." I say, unwrapping my arms and grabbed my pack in the corner of the tent.
"Where are we going?" Bellamy asks me, confused.
"They're going to burn Finn's body with the 18 that were killed by him." I sighed.
"Oh." He muttered, looking at the ground.
"Yeah." I say, trying my hardest not to cry again. I picked up the pack and slung it over my back, "Let's go." I held out my hand for his. He nodded and grabbed his pack, linking my hand in his. The sun was just beginning to peek out of the sky as we walked out. I looked around for Clarke, I spot her and the grounders waiting for us at the gate. Bellamy and I quickly made our way to them.
"Ready?" Clarke asks us. I nod in reply and we take off. The group was fairly small, only consisting of those who were of importance to the grounders: Kane, Abby, Clarke, Raven, Bellamy, I, and some other guardsmen.
All I could see we're the greenery as we made our way back to the Tondc village. Raven was on the wheelbarrow with Finn's body as the rest of us walked. Clarke looked around the Forrest trees and visibly paled when she looked in a specific part of the forest. I grew concerned for her.
"Hey, you doing alright?" I ask her softly, Bellamy and I rushing up to her.
"Yeah." She mutters, avoiding any eye contact.
"You did the right thing." Bellamy tells her, hinting about the Finn situation.
"Now I get to live with it."she says, looking at Bellamy, "You still think this truce is a bad idea, don't you?" She asks as soon as she saw the look on his face.
"I think we're wasting time with politics while our friends are in trouble." Bellamy answers.
"We need their army to get to Mount Weather, Bellamy, and you know it." She tries to reason.
"Their army has been getting their ass kicked by Mount Weather forever." I retorted, "What we need is an inside man, someone to be our eyes and ears." Clarke gives me a look before shaking her head.
"Forget it. It's too dangerous." She says to me.
"Clarke. She's right. If you can make it out, and I can make it in.." Bellamy tries to reason with her, but she was set on her answer.
"I said no." She says, firmly.
"Since we don't take orders from you, we're going to need a better reason." I stare her down. She gives us a quick look before replying.
"I can't lose you guys too, okay?" She says, and hurries ahead. I let out a sigh and we walked in silence after that. We stopped when it got dark. I walked over to Octavia and Lincoln as Bellamy went to go talk to Clarke.
"Natrona" Indra mutters to Lincoln as she passes by, making his shoulders visibly sag.
"Natrona? What's that?" I ask, confused.
"Traitor." Lincoln says simply, "My people fear me. They think the Reaper is still inside." He explains.
"You're not that monster, Lincoln." I tell him softly.
"I hope you're right." he mumbles.
"You can talk to me about what happened." Octavia informs him, and I took that as my cue to leave. I scan the area for Bellamy. I make my way over to him.
"We should set up our tent." I tell Bellamy, sitting down on a fallen log.
"We? Or I set it up and you sit there." Bellamy jokes, taking out the tent from his pack.
"This is teamwork. You set up the tent... and I, carrying this munchkin." I smiled, deviously.
"Are you going to use that every time with me to get out of work?" He asks, playfully glaring at me.
"Well I mean. If you want, you can carry the munchkin and I'll do all the work." I gave him a look. He just chucked and add the finishing touch to the tent before walking over to me. He knelt down so that he was between my legs.
"The tent is done, Ms. Scarlett." He playfully says.
"What did you want me to do about it Mr. Blake?" I ask, grinning. He takes my hand and led me into the tent.
"Talk about things. Sleep. Other activities." He suggested. I let out a snort.
"Other activities." I laughed and laid down on the ground. Bellamy followed in pursuit.
"Just suggesting, sweetheart." He smiles.
"Let's talk." I say.
"Okay." He agrees, "Have you thought up of any names for munchkin?" He asks, eager for the names I came up with. I smiled and closed my eyes pretending to sleep. "Come on, R." He groaned, poling my sides a little.
"Maybe tomorrow." I replied and slipped into complete darkness.
