*squeal* Kidge!!!

"Pidge! Hold up. I need to talk to you" Keith called after her, who was currently heading outside, this was his chance, now or never.
Just do what Shiro taught you then you should be perfectly fine.👌

"Sure." Pidge's brain exploded with infinite possibilities. First came the insecure side Oh my...I said something weird didn't I? Crap! there's probably another rumor being spread around about me. And then came the anger. How dare he believe the rumors! What kind of a friend is he if he believes those cheap stories?

She braced herself for the worst, mentally building walls around her heart to stop the possible daggers from emotionally hurting  her.  With her defences up she started planning counter attacks for every insult that she might receive.

She was ready for a full blown argument.

When he reached the spot where she was standing he nervously wiped his sweaty palms on his jeans and frowned when he noticed her hostile stance. Huh? Did I do something wrong? Maybe now is not the best time to...NO!! YOU HAVE TO or else Shiro will be disappointed.

Ok...JUST SAY IT!! He cleared his throat before blurting out his confession.

"Okay so I know this is weird and totally random and out of the blue but I have been in love with you for a while now, a-a-and I know that we were friends since we were in diapers and that what I just said and what I'm about to say might make things awkward between us and I will respect your decision if you say no."

He took a deep breath before continuing. Here comes the punch line;

"Katie Holt will you go to the movies with me as more than a f-friend."

Pidge was dumbfounded What!? Did Keith just.....stutter?

After he asked the question he stepped back to give her some physical and mental space to think about his stupid confession.

But unfortunately, with his luck, he tripped over someone's discarded backpack and the slushy slipped out of his grip and splashed onto Katie.

OH BOY now she's definitely gonna say no. Please! Just kill me now.

But to his surprise she burst out laughing, despite his embarrassment, Keith's heart flipped traitously at the sound. He loved her laugh so much, just like every thing about her. He heard the term 'music to my ears' before but it was only recently that he truly understood it. Every time she spoke or laughed he would close his eyes and listen to it, as if it were the perfect melody.

She beamed at him, and here she thought he was going to argue with her. She totally expected the worst, but boy oh boy is she glad that she was wrong.

"Yes. Yes of course I will go with you!" She exclaimed and jumped to hug him, wet shirt and all.
