The smell of the oaky candles filled my office.

Ulysses, my crow, pecked the blueberries from my open palms. We stood in front of the open window, the scent of my candles flowing out to the open air. Ulysses swallowed the last berry, squawking at me for more.

Itching Ulysses' head, I said, "Fly away now, you have people to watch."

Ulysses groomed her feathers for a moment, sitting still on her wooden perch. Looking at me for a brief moment, she turned and flew out the window, flying and turning into a speck in the distance.

King Marlo was anxious with every quester that goes out on this journey. To ease his worries, I would send Ulysses out to watch over questers and report back to me. Ulysses was a smart crow, I taught her morse code.

Of course, Ulysses wasn't allowed to interfere. She could only observe.

Prince Adrian was the last one to go on the Quest of Death.

He has to come back with the princess.

Not only for King Marlos' sake but for all of humanity.

And hopefully, the prince gets rid of that wretched emperor.

Emperor Dormaris of the Fae, ruler of the Dark Empire. He stands in the way of humanity, he must be destroyed. No matter the cost.
