Eddie Kapsbrak, A Very Ungodly Hour

"Oh god! What is that shit on the floor?! It's WET!", Eddie girlishly shrieks, keeping his body tightly pulled inwards as he walks through this run-down hospital trying to get out. He has only been in here for 20 minutes and he has already had 27 panic/asthma attacks.

"Wheeze-Dammit, where is the fucking exit!?" He screams, tripping down yet another flight of stairs before arriving at what seems like a waiting of some sorts.

It's the main entrance lobby, with the big automatic sliding front doors about forty feet in front of him!

Eddie looks up, thanking the heavens above for finally getting to the doors. He looks down and heads towards the doors, only to stop in his tracks and gasps at the sight in front of him.

Lorie Ann stood weakly in front of the doors, blocking him from the exit.

But she also had a bright white angelic glow outlining her hurt figure, and Eddie's attention is turned elsewhere and the room around them turns gold.

He was made for her, as she was for him.

"A-Annie?" Eddie rasps out before nervously grabbing for his inhaler, that is somehow no longer in his pocket.

It all clicked into place for him. The way he felt around her, things he said to her, things he did for her. Eddie was happy, elated that he had her for the rest of his life. But among his happiness realizes something.

"Lorie, where have you been? You've been gone for 10 months! Why haven't you come back?" Eddie questions worriedly with watery eyes.

"Lovey, you have to help me! Oh God I don't feel good, everything hurts." 'Lorie' cries, ignoring his questioning and falls to her knees.

"No! Annie!", The germophobic teen rushes over to her and grabs the love of his life's arm to help her up. When he does, he hears a squelch as his fingers grip her abnormally soft and squishy skin. The sound and feeling causes him to look down.

Her arm is covered in what looks like a mixture between pus and blood. In all honesty, the girl looked like a walking infection.

Eddie is unable to help his involuntary shriek and moves off jerking his hand away from his friend's arm.

"Annie I'm sorry!" He whimpers

Without Eddie's support, 'Lorie' screams and falls to the ground in a limp puddle. Yes, puddle was the right word. When she fell, she melted into nothing but a pile of infection and blood.

Eddie heaves out in horror at what he just witnessed. The love of his life just melted in front of him, her screams echoing out in his head on replay.

Eddie! Wake up Eddie-bear! It's just a dream!

Eddie is finally able to wake up, gasping desperately for air as each exhale comes out as a sob. Sonia Kaspbrak had woken up to her son in distress and thundered into his room and looked for the danger. When she found none, her eyes moved to her son, who was soaked in sweat and thrashing in his bed, still, sound asleep.

It took her a while, but she eventually brought Eddie back to reality. When Sonia asked him what was wrong, he tried to remember, but couldn't, and that made him panic more than anything else.

It took Eddie forty-five minutes to calm down enough to go back to a restless sleep.
