After Pennywise Slinks Back into the Well, Back at the Cistern

The next time Lorie is conscious, she sees she is on her mattress. With a weak groan she sits up and immediately feels her stomach burn with a huge wave of pain. She looks down and sees her shirt has a huge new blood stain and a puncture hole. Lorie then slowly and painfully lifts her shirt to see a stab wound that was cleaned and bandaged up sloppily. She then looks around confused. Many thoughts race through her mind,

'I remember seeing Bill and Richie. I remember seeing Eddie too! They looked so broken, but relieved to see me alive. Bill was holding me. I remember telling him I was sorry. Then Pennywise grabbed me and threw me into a pile of wood. Wait! Oh my God I was almost safe! They almost had me I-' Lorie stopped herself, and let the worst of the worst thoughts cloud her mind.

Did that really happen? Did I really see them? Or was all of it just some twisted dream? A depressing nightmare?' Lorie is knocked out of her thoughts by the sound of a voice and footsteps.

"You didn't dream it Lorie! They really did 'almost have you safe and sound!'" Pennywise walks in with, cheering happily before falling into a fit of sick cackles. He calmed down before continuing.

"And I have to say, you played your part beautifully. You were the perfect damsel in distress! And then when I threw you into that pile of wood! The pièce de résistance! It completely broke them! Ha!"

Lorie just stares at the monster with teary eyes. She was numb. She felt like she could never gain another emotion again. This was all too much for her to handle, and so she shut down. Pennywise frowned slightly at her lack of response before trying to get her angry again.

"Oh come on Lorieeeee! What's the matter?'' Pennywise pauses for a moment then mockingly pouts.

"Awe did seeing them again make you saddy waddy?" Pennywise juts his bottom lip out dramatically before tilting his head back into a fit of laughter again. Lorie felt herself flush with rage, her entire being turning red.

Maybe she had it in her for one more attack on this stupid fucking clown. Lorie inhales before letting her emotions tumble out through words.

"You have completely destroyed me, and my friends." She speaks slowly, and Pennywise stops laughing and looks at her in confusion.

"Utterly broken. That's what we are. I have had too many people die in my arms to be anywhere near reasonable. I have been beaten physically. And I have been broken apart mentally. And, " Lorie takes a big breath for courage before raising her voice to a scream. She steps toward the demon with each sentence. Her words scraped at Pennywise's shriveled heart, but he forced himself not to outwardly show it.

"And it's all your fault! Do you even have a spec of remorse or guilt?! And why is it me? Why do I have to stay here alive and watch you kill other people?! What is so special about me? Tell me you fucking ugly-ass piece of shit!" She yells, hitting him with each punctuation when she reaches striking length.

"Why are you like this!? Why am I still here?! Why-" Pennywise has had enough. He now can't even enjoy his work of misery without her annoying words that make him feel guilty. The weird feeling that she gives him is clouding his judgement, and he was done letting that happen.

"FINE!" he yells, cutting her off, making her shut her mouth quickly and stare at him.

"You wanna know why it's you that I keep? Why I am the way I am? Here I'll show you!" and Pennywise grabs her head and knocks her into his memories. Lorie shuts her eyes in pain as his mind grabs onto hers.
