A/N: Yeah, I'm just gonna say this now. I am sorry!! Fasten your seatbelts, this one is hard.
A couple minutes later.
Bill still lays crumpled on the ground in front of his basement, body trembling as he wept. This had been too much. He hated this. And he hated that clown for toying with him. Georgie was just a child. Filled with good and innocence to all. And so was Lorie. They were both so pure, both a precious gem this earth needed.
So, why them? Why them! Why?! Why did two of the most kind-hearted sweet people have such an awful horrific fate?
No. Bill couldn't think like that. They were alive. They had to be. Yeah. they were alive, just lost in the woods, trying to make their way back.
But if that was the case, then where were they?
Bill felt himself become unable to breathe. His sobs turned into strained puffs of air.
"H-He-Hel-p", Bill tries to cry out, but it comes out as a breathy whisper. His vision starts to grow with black spots, and just before he succumbs to the darkness, a pair of gentle hands grab at his face. They felt cool against his red splotchy face.
"B..ll....d..e....calm d..n..c...y.u..hea..me?" Bill hears a broken up voice say. He blinks dazedly to focus in on the blurry figure in front of him. It takes him a minute, but his vision sharpens and he can distinguish Stanley's curly mop and his vibrant hazel eyes filled with concern and worry.
Stan says something, the stuttering teen can see his lips moving. But the sound doesn't reach Bill's ears. Stan's expression falls into even more worry when he doesn't get a real response. The Hebrew teen strokes his thumb across Bill's tear stained cheeks before falling to the ground beside Bill, and tugs him into a comforting embrace.
Bill's tense fingers moved to grip Stan's soft cotton t-shirt, but found a bare chest. To keep him from panicking further, Stan gripped Bill's hands, bringing the tops to his lips to kiss them before adjusting the teen to sit in his lap with Bill's head on his chest, his ear right over his heart.
Soon after, Bill can start to hear again. He hears the faint hum of the fridge running, and the drip of the faucet. He can hear his labored breath puffing out as his panic attack slows down. Then he hears the soothing constant 'thump' of Stan's heart tickling his ear.
"Bill, can you hear me now?" Stan speaks just above a whisper. When he feels Bill nod, his body sags in relief.
"There he is. Do you think you're okay to stand and let me help you to bed?" Stan speaks again, and he gets the same response as Bill shuffles slightly off his lap. The two boys stumble to a stand from their spot on the floor in front of the torturous basement door.
Stan walks them both through the house and up the stairs to Bill's room, and the brunette shrugs off his pajama pants before they both get settled in his bed. Bill makes sure he is on the left side of the bed, knowing the curly headed teen likes to sleep on the right side. He holds on to Stan tight, but comfortably as they snuggle in his bed. Bill lays his head on Stan's chest and starts to doze off, when he gains a sudden thought.
"S-Stan, n-not that I am n-not h-h-happy you're he-here but, why a-are you?" Bill timidly mumbles tiredly as he lightly traces patterns on Stan's skin making goosebumps rise after his trailing fingers.
"I couldn't sleep. Dad tore into me about being with you guys today. Said I could have been using this time to perfect my Torah reading. He's already furious that we are doing it with me being so much older than the normal boy. We usually do it when we turn 12 or 13 at the latest. But with dad getting the position so abruptly, it just got overlooked. I needed a break from him, Bill. He's draining." Stan quietly speaks, his heart feeling heavy with sadness. It seemed that no matter the event, Stan could never live up to his father's expectations.
