A/n: heyy!! I'm back, here to crush hearts all over again!!!
A couple days later at night, Uris Household.
Stan Uris brushes his teeth with his eyes half-closed, extremely exhausted from the events of today.
Throwing rocks as hard as you can in a stressful environment can really take a toll on your body.
Once he is done with his extensive nightly hygiene routine, he all but crawls to his room to his oh-so welcoming bed. Stan settles in and almost immediately falls asleep, sending him to the world of dreams and happiness.
The next thing Stan hears is his alarm blaring abnormally loud, telling him that it was time for him to get up and go about the day. He slams his hand on the off button and literally rolls out of bed with a loud 'oof'. And with a raspy groan he pushes himself up from his floor and goes to his closet and picks out his clothes.
After that he goes and does his morning hygiene routine in his bathroom. When he was finished and ready to take on the day, he took one last look at himself in the mirror and saw that his hair wasn't in place and the buttons on his crisply ironed shirt were loose.
He tried to comb his hair in place and fix his buttons, but no luck. In fact, every time he tried to fix them, they became more disarrayed. He was almost ripping his comb through his hair by the time Stan's mother called out to him.
"Stanley! Your breakfast is getting cold. You need to come eat before you go to your Torah reading!"
Stan's entire body filled with anxiety at his mother's words. He was nervous about his Torah reading to begin with, now he had to do it with not appropriate attire. He felt like he was going to faint.
He finally took a shaky sigh and with one last thought of 'fuck this' he went down to breakfast.
After he finished his breakfast, he went straight to his synagogue for his Torah reading. Stan stands in his dad's office and takes a nervous breath before going to the main worship area. He sees all of the congregation, and even sees his friends sitting there smiling widely in support. Their smiles are a little off, but he just brushes it off, thinking it was his nerves making him see things.
He gets to the podium where the Torah is placed, open and ready. As soon as he opens his mouth to begin, Stan abruptly closes it because he is cut off by a loud scary sound.
Hundreds of birds burst through the beautiful stained-glass windows of the Hebrew church. They screech and squawk loudly flapping about the large room. Stan just stares at the birds in disbelief, fear, and denial. This isn't possible! There are far too many birds here for it to seem logical.
After a few minutes of birds rapidly flying around, they form a huge swarm at the entrance of the room, almost blocking it from view completely. They stay in that formation for a few moments before the birds and the congregation disappear out thin air leaving something else in their place. Or actually, someone was left in the wake of the bird attack.
To Stan's confusion and fear, he saw it was Lorie. She was standing there at the doorway, staring intensely at him. It made Stan very uncomfortable, her staring. She never did that. But then he noticed something else that made him forget all about her uncomfortable staring.
The entire church had a gold hue, everywhere Stan looked, it was gold tinted. Everywhere except Lorie, who was outlined with a bright angelic glow.
They were made for each other, now and forever.
"Lorie?" He finally breathed out, before firing question after question at her.
