A/N: I am sorry a head of time you guys! Please don't hate me!

Hanlon Cattle Farm, A Few Days After the Fight

Mike is on his break from the slaughterhouse when gets a call from Laycey. She was calling to ask if he was free to hangout later. He immediately jumped at the chance and asked for a time and place. After he got the details, he bid her goodbye and went to ask his grandpa if he could have the rest of the day off. Mr. Hanlon was going to deny him, but he saw the desperation in his son's eyes and relented. He had a feeling that his Grandson was going to see John's daughter. Now while he didn't particularly like John Jones, he had nothing against Laycey. Mike and her would've been good together. But Mr. Hanlon Sr. knew fate didn't work perfectly. Mike smiled and thanked his grandpa before dashing to his room to freshen up. He scrubbed extra clean today and took a little more care in his hygiene than usual. After an hour or so, he was ready to go. He went and told his grandfather that he was leaving and off he went to the Derry Town Park.

Once he got there, he instantly spotted Laycey sitting away from the people scattered across the bright green grass. He ran over to her with a huge smile plastered on his face. Mike didn't know what it was about her, but Laycey drew him in like a moth drawn to a flame. She was the sun, and he was a plant begging for warmth. He needed her. And Mike knew Laycey needed him, even if she didn't know it yet. When he got to the tree, the smile was wiped off his face as he took in the girl.

Laycey was sitting on a blanket under a huge tree, with her knees bent and pulled into her body. She had tears slowly falling down her cheeks. Mike immediately squatted down and asked what was wrong. She hugs him tightly and stutters out the reason for her tears.

"I don't understand, Mike. I don't get how it's possible for them to look and be as okay as they are right now. I've always been told that doing anything remotely damaging to your soulmate bond is painful. Like so painful it blinds your other senses. You can't see, or feel, or hear, or even think! It's been said that you struggle to get out of bed each day. So, tell me! How are they so okay?!"

As usual, Henry and his gang of fucking morons had hurt her. She was on her way to the park when she saw Henry, Patrick, Victor, and Blech walking. This time they actually passed her on the street, but still they ignored her presence. This enraged the blonde hothead and she turned around to confront them. She just wanted her boys back. They didn't give her any form of attention until she roughly grabbed Henry's shoulder.

"Don't fucking touch me you slut!" the boy screamed and pushed her to the ground. Laycey just stared at them in sadness, not saying anything. They walked away and she didn't move until they were out of sight. She got up and tearfully ran to the park and collapsed under a secluded area. Mike arrived a few moments later.

"Layce. You don't deserve them. If they are going to hurt you, treat you the way they are, then they aren't worth your time! Now come on, dry those tears. You are way too gorgeous to cry. Let's go get some food now, yeah?" Mike smiles and stands before offering his hand to bring her to her feet. Laycey sniffles and wipes her eyes before taking his hand.

This happened on and off for the next 2 weeks, Laycey and Mike would hang out in public, but most of them were ruined in one way or another by Henry and his goons. Laycey would always get super sad, and cry, which caused Mike to grow more and more angry at those four idiots while he comforted her each and every time. It hurt him to see her so broken down and vulnerable and it infuriated him to watch those boys act like nothing was wrong.
