Harry woke up early, which wasn't normal for him, and shook Tom awake- today they were going to go to Hogwarts. They had their tickets, which stated that they had to get to platform nine and three quarters. Dumbledore said that they would have to walk through a wall in between the platforms nine and ten.

Harry practically pushed Tom out of his bed due to his excitement. He was finally leaving the orphanage; he was allowed to be exited. Harry reached under his bed, where he hid his Hogwarts stuff. Tom got out of bed and went to get his shrunken trunk which was pre-packed since the day he got his Hogwarts supplies. Harry pulled his bag over his shoulder, Tom pocketed his trunk, and they went downstairs for the last breakfast they would have the orphanage.

Mrs Cole was waiting at the entrance of the orphanage while the two boys finished their breakfast. Eleven long years and now she was finally getting rid of the two boys who caused the most trouble and death in the orphanage. Just to clarify, they were the only ones who caused death in the orphanage. Even though there wasn't any proof, Mrs Cole was sure that they were the ones who caused death in her orphanage. Now she would have an orphanage free from freaks and only normal children who did everyday things and had normal coloured eyes.

The boys came down to the entrance about five minutes later, where Mrs Cole was already standing and impatiently tapping her foot on the ground. She quickly ushered the boys into the car and sped off to Kings Cross station.

Tom and Harry sat quietly in the back of the car, not really knowing what to say. They sat in still silence as Mrs Cole dangerously drove the car around the bendy narrow London roads. The journey wasn’t that long, and when they arrived, Mrs Cole kicked them out of the car and drove back to the orphanage.

Harry grabbed Tom by the hand and pulled him further into the station. “Come on Tom; Dumbledore said that the platform would be this way,” Harry saif leading Tom quickly through the crowds. They continued to walk through the masses of people, ignoring the looks which the adults were giving them.

“Are you lost little boys,” a large man said gripping onto Harry’s shoulder with his grubby hands and fat fingers, “Why don’t you come with me, I know this place like the back of my hand.”

“No,” Tom said pointedly, “We know exactly where we need to go,” he continued, pulling Harry out of the man’s reach. Tom quickly pushed Harry away and back into the crowds before the man could react.

They quickly reached the right wall and stood to the side of it, contemplating on what to do next. Were they supposed to run into a wall, not likely.

They stood there for some time until they saw a taller boy wearing a black robe with yellow accents. They guessed he was also a wizard, no human would ever dress like that. They watched as he casually walked past bistanding people and walked straight through the wall. Harry lips slightly partes in shock.

Tom tugged on Harry's arm to make him close him mouth and gently pull him towards the wall. Harry closed his mouth and followed Tom getting closer to the wall. They stumbled through the wall and were greated by a platform bustling with people. Parents and children saying their goodbyes, some even tearing up, especially the younger ones and emotional mothers.

Tom grimaced, he didn't like all the big shows of affection. Partly because he never had any so therefore he didnt understand how important it was to some people. And partly because he was slightly jealous that he couldn't have what they had. He never knew who his parents were, never got to see them, got to know them.

Harry, however, felt a bit saddened by the sight of this. He always felt a small hole in his chest, a place where a family would be. Yes he had Tom, yes that filled up most of the gap, but the was just that small longing for the family he never had.
