Well, let's see..

Y/n is an ordinary inkling/octoling.

Well, more "ordinary" on the outside — a lot of people find Y/n as a regular inkling/octoling.

However, there is something no one knows about Y/n.

No one knows that Y/n is a popular Manga Artist.

Not even their best friend, Gloves.

Ah, yes.

Gloves.

The one who is always on top of trends, etc, etc.

Y/n meet him at a cafe, where both of their orders got mixed with each other.

It's kinda weird, but they got along.

Everyday, they'd meet up at the park, nearby that cafe they once met at.

Hang out and all that.

But today, it was different.

Y/n's behind her schedule, and they've got to get their next chapter of their famous manga, Dokie Love Heart, out by tomorrow.

Weird name for a manga, but everyone loves it.

Y/n sat on her desk, scribbling away, drawing out the last remaining parts.

Y/n's assistant, As/n, was currently taking a day off...

Well, a vacation break.

Sadly, Y/n has to do allllllll of the papers themself.

Finally finishing it, Y/n placed their finished papers in a bag, which was holding the newest chapters.

However, Y/n also forgot that they've got a date with Gloves today :)

"FRICK IM LATE!"

Y/n's tentacles were everywhere, as they tried to fix it up.

After doing so, Y/n got changed out of her night clothes and into a fresh f/c jacket and black short-shorts.

Putting on their sneakers, Y/n grabbed their bag and dashed right out of their apartment.

Y/n got a good kind of exercise, running to reach Gloves.

Like in that one romantic scene in their manga where the main character, r/n/g, was finally reaching over to r/n/b for help.

Not really sounding romantic, but everyone loved it.

Y/n's face suddenly grew f/c. The mere mention of that scene, but themself and Gloves in it.

'No fantasies!' Y/n shook their head.

Yeah, it's obvious now.

Y/n likes Gloves.

Well, everyone loves Gloves, who doesn't?

Suddenly, a certain green inkling caught the attention of Y/n's.

"Gloves!"

The green inkling, turned around, giving a smile that lit up Y/n's face a bit.

"Hey, n/n!" Gloves waved over to his best friend.

"Gah, sorry I'm late, I forgot the time, heh," Y/n rubbed the back of their head in embarrassment.

"It's cool, I almost came late myself," Gloves let out a chuckle.

"Well, lets get going to the cafe?"

"Of course!"

Suddenly, that one part in the manga Y/n drew down on their manga just a few minutes ago popped into their head.

R/n/g walked over to R/n/b and waved.

"I see your here!"

"Yeah, shall we start heading now?"

"Of course!"

Y/n's face blew up in f/c once again.

'I FEEL LIKE IM PLAYING AS R/N/B!!!! I JUST SAID WHAT HE SAIDIDIDIDJSKCNSOCNSOCS!!!!!!!'

"Eh? N/n, you okay?"

"Huh?!"

Y/n stopped half way and gave a small nod.

"S-sorry, lets just get going," Y/n walked ahead, leaving Gloves to get suspicious of Y/n.

"If your not feeling well, we can go tomorrow," Gloves stated, placing a hand on Y/n's shoulder.

'Gloves...'

"N-no, it's okay!" Y/n turned around, mentally pleading that her face wasn't getting hot because of him.

"Hmph, if you say so," Gloves went back to walking with Y/n.

The two then finally reached the cafe, ordering right away what they wanted.

The table they choose was next to a window, giving a good view of Inkopolis Square.

"I'll be right back, I have to use the restroom," Y/n got up, placing down their bag on their chair.

"Sure," Gloves nodded.

Once Y/n was gone, Gloves peeked over into Y/n's bag.

'If I can figure out what she likes, I can get her something!'

Don't ask where a Gloves got that idea of going through his crush's bag.

Once Gloves unzipped the bag, a butt-load of papers were filled inside.

'WHAT THE-?! DOES N/N WORK FOR THE GOVERNMENT?!?'

Gloves was shocked.

He pulled out a piece of paper and noticed the art.

"W...wait.."

Gloves stared at the drawing part of the manga.

"Is...IS THIS THE NEWEST CHAPTER OF DOKIE LOVE HEART-"

Gloves out his hand over his mouth.

Not only was Dokie Love Heart his favorite romance manga, HE ALSO KNOWS HOW TO DRAW THE ART FORM.

Honestly, he was shocked, and SUPER HAPPY THAT HE NOW KNOWS HIS BEST FRIEND IS A MANGA ARTIST.

Right away, Gloves put it back, noticing that Y/n was also heading back to their table.

"Hey, I'm back," Y/n took their seat.

Gloves smiled.

"Hey, Y/n?"

"Yeah?"

"If..."

"If you need help with your Manga, you can just call me.."
