Life is cruel sometimes.

No, no, you're not depressed or anything; your completely fine.

It's just, you have a hard time getting along with people. So, you've been kinda lonely all your life. At that point, you just wanted to be by yourself to do things. That got people to not talk to you, etc etc.

That also states the fact that you didn't really have any friends.

Actually, that's what you think.

Emperor.

Some inkling — he's popular, handsome, and pretty much more social than you.

The thing is, how did he meet you?

Easy, around middle school, he caught sight of you inside a cake shop...by yourself of course. You were simply just checking out the cakes, no reason at all. Of course, being Emperor, he went in and talked to you. Love at first sight perhaps? For him, it was. But for you, you just found him as a stranger. You have never been in love, so of course you just found him as a stranger.

For the next few years, he was with you.

You may have not really enjoyed his company, but he did. Uh- having you as company that is.

Having Emperor around you all day was.... slightly entertaining. He called you his friend, thats a thing..

Now, you didn't really know how to consider him.

A friend? A stranger who has been with you for a long time?

You know a lot about him, but you never told him about yourself..

'Maybe if I can...'

You glanced at Emperor who was sitting next to you. He was enjoying the small sponge cake and tea you brought him. You didn't notice this, but your cheeks were slightly red.

He was cheery, you were confused.

Oh? Confused over what?

Well, confused over life... and Emperor.

Emperor was confusing.

Confusing to you.

You knew him, he didn't know you.

You looked down, clenching your hands on your lap.

"Emperor...."

Your voice was small, you never have been to talk much.

He put down his food on his lap, letting out a small 'hm?'

Your shoulders raised for a moment, then went down to a slouching position.

"What...." You bit your lip, "What am I to you..?"

Emperor was shocked at your question.

You were able to squeak out a small apology, thinking that the question was to straight forward.

"No, its okay." Emperor said, giving a small smile.

You didn't even dare to lift your head up.

Emperor placed his hand on his chin, as if he was thinking, "To me, you're...."

"My best friend."

You didn't say anything. Your lips crumpled a bit, almost if you were going to cry.

Cry..? Why? You didn't know anything. You didn't know what to say. You didn't know what he is to you..

"But..."

You paused yourself.

"..You're kinda like a girlfriend to me..."

The sudden mention of the word 'girlfriend' got you all red and blushy.

You suddenly stood up from the bench.

"Ah, sorry. Did that make you uncomfortable?" Emperor asked in slight worry.

"..N-no."

"Very well.."

Emperor stood up as well.

"I noticed that red face of yours, your not so good at hiding it," Emperor let out one of his smirks.

Were you trying to hide it..?

You just stared at the concrete floor.

"Word 'Girlfriend' got you up~"

You blushed again, just even worse.

No one has ever considered you as a girlfriend- Wait, does Emperor even know what he's saying???

"Hm, I see," Emperor bent down to your size. (You shorty :] )

"Soo, you do want to be my girlfriend~"

"EHH??!?"
