Chapter 7: Usopp
The larger dragon snapped at her head, and Lucy rolled away, just in time. In returne Lucy roared, the cosmic energy heralded towards Draco, who ate it up for himself and then sent back. She too devoured the same blast, before using it and lit her fists with the power. Charging in close, then swiped at him with her claws, but the magic did not harm him and absorbed into the scales that bunched beneath her hands. Reflexively absorbed the celestial magic.
Jumping back, she avoided being beat by his tail, and jumped into the starry sky of the Spirit World. Opening her mouth, a celestial iron roar tore from her mouth, followed by wrapping her fist in celestial air sky magic. The transition of her magic, changing it from one variation to the next, took time, and allowed the other to strike out at her. The magic came too just in time to smash her fist into Draco's snout. It sent him back, and she landed on the ground. His tail slammed into her from the side, fast as lightning, and she stayed down.
An aching pulse developed behind her ribs, and she coughed, blood spilled forth and out of her mouth, not a lot, and already her body went to work to heal the damage. Draco placed his tail back down on the ground, looked at her with large gold red eyes. And from the smell of it, he was concerned for her health. In three hours Lucy went from going crazy and being fine, to depleted and ready to drop. It made sense, in the grand scheme of things. The amount of magic she used, against his speed and all-encompassing abilities. He shifted from attacks much quicker than her, and even melded elements together.
"We'll stop here," Draco said, and curled around her body with his larger one. Circled her, and then placed his head down upon larger forelegs. Nodding her head, she rolled up and began to stretch. Everything in her burned, but also cooled down with the burn of her own magic that fizzled away. But it came back to her with every moment she spent spiritually in the Spirit World. With her physical body linked up to her spirit form, it allowed all of her training to connect and work with her body.
And since they continued to sail around in a tiny boat, Lucy lacked the proper space needed to train. Thus the Spirit King set up the channel of her mind to enter Draco's star and meet with him to train. While both consciously existed in the Spirit World, Lucy knew their physical bodies still existed in the East Blue. From the star's heart, Lucy could see the Earth, and all of the seas. Fiore looked black though, so she turned from the site and moved from child's pose into a downward facing dog.
"Perhaps you would like to leave now so I can rest," Draco said, eyes closed but fully aware of her. Sticking her tongue out at him, she turned and stood, moved into the next pose and shook her body out. Trying to work out all the kinks that developed through the work out. "Oh, and our esteem Spirit King wanted to speak with you." Stopping in the middle of a high plank, she looked to see his eyes still closed, while hers bugged out of her head.
"Why didn't you tell me sooner?" Lucy scurried about and grabbed her jacket, something she discarded once she appeared. Then, donning in the item, she jumped over his form and ran. The chuckle he let loose, after she left, carried, but she found herself in too much of a hurry to turn back and yell at him.
Down the path of stars, Lucy leapt over a bridge which Eridanus streamed under, then vaulted over the houses that lived in the heavens. Anything that could get her to the King faster, she did. But the post-workout fatigue did not allow her to go full speed as she hoped to. And found herself huffing and puffing as she passed Bootes herd, then sweating tiredly when Leo's home, his pride seen through the window, passed by her.
