Luke POV:

“Dean!” I yelled as I saw him run out of the gym. I was able to get her over to the wall and out of the middle of the hallway. People kept asking me if she was okay and I kept saying yes even though it was obvious that she wasn’t.

“What happened?” He said kneeling in front of her. He was softly saying her name trying to get her out of this trance that she was in, but all she kept saying is “It’s my fault he’s gone, it’s my fault he is dying. It’s all my fault.”

Dean looked up to me and he looked like he was about to cry, “Listen to me, something sent her into a panic attack and we need to get her home. I am going to have to stay here and fill out some papers because she is on their property having the attack. I have my car here because Alex usually drives me everywhere so I need someone to drive her home.” He said looking at us.

“I will take her.” I said trying to picking her up into my arms, but at my touch he flinched away saying “No, no, no, I don’t deserve it.” I was confused and I looked at Dean. “Don’t take it personally, the doctors say it is normal. Sometimes she can be touched, but otherwise she feels like she doesn’t deserve to be touched.” He said with a tear sliding down his face. He gave me the keys and I picked her up and she kept yelling “No! I don’t deserve it, No! No..” It broke my heart that she believed she didn’t deserve to be touched.

Jai, James and Beau had followed me out. “I will drive, you hold her.” Beau said as I passed him the keys. She finally calmed down a little and she clutched onto my shirt.

As we were about to pull out I saw Dean. “Wait!” he yelled, “I called Melody and she will be home in a little, she asked if someone could stay with her while she was on her way home and I told her you would Luke.” He said looking at me and I smiled. “Yeah I will.” I yelled back and we were gone.

She had her head on my shoulder and let go of my shirt. I looked down to see her scratching her hands. I noticed they were bleeding, and I grabbed her hands and had her grab my shirt. I didn’t let go of her hands untill we got back to her house. Alex’s car was the only car in the drive way so I am guessing Melody wasn’t home yet.

We got the door open and we went inside and I carried her up to her with Jai, James and Beau behind me. I slowly put her in her bed and I laid next to her. She was still crying and repeating “It’s my fault he’s gone, it’s my fault he is dying. It’s all my fault.” I looked up at the guys and they looked worried and a little scared. I was to, what was going to happen to her after this? Is she going to be okay? I pulled her into me more and held her there. The guys all pulled up a seat and we sat there in quiet for about 15 minutes. Alex didn’t change at all and I was worried.

“Alexandria? I am home!” I heard a woman’s voice call and I saw Beau run down stairs. I heard them coming up, she was behind him when they came in and I saw that she had been crying. She walked over to us and sat next to Alex, but she really couldn’t see her because she was wrapped up in my arms with her hands over her face. She started crying again as she took in her sister that still kept repeating “It’s my fault he’s gone, it’s my fault he is dying. It’s all my fault.” Every time she said it Melody cried more.

“Shh no. It is not your fault, it is not your fault at all.” She said. She started stroking her hair and with her touch she was calming down, she wasn’t shaking as much as before and she was not crying as much either. But she did not move her hands from her face and she didn’t stop saying those words that killed us all a little every time she said them. We all sat there for 10 minutes and I got a good look at her sister. She had curly dark brown hair that went to her shoulders, blue eyes and Alex’s lips, well I guess Alex had her lips. She was wearing dress pants with a nice shirt and a blazer. She had her make up done but it was smeared from crying. When she walked in you could tell that she was shorter than Alex, but not too much. She was pretty and you could tell they were all related. Alex looked like her, but Alex was beautiful and not to be mean but her sister was just pretty. Alex finally stopped say those words and put her hands down, but instead of turning around to look at her sister she put her head in my chest and wrapped her hands around my body. I pulled her in a little closer but not too far away from her sister who saw her movements. She looked at me and gave a little smile. I put my face in the crook of her neck and I kissed it lightly.

We didn’t move for a couple minutes, then she let go and turned towards her sister. When she looked at her I looked towards the guys. Jai had been crying and it looked like Beau had also. James sat there just staring, you could tell he felt sorry for her and her sister.

I looked back over at the two girls on the bed. Melody was smiling at her sister. I don’t think Alex realized how many people were in her room, and I don’t think she cared.

Alex finally said something to Melody, and it broke Melody’s heart. “I just want them back, all of them.” She croaked out as she started crying again. Melody grabbed her and pulled her in for a hug and she started crying.

None of us moved, mainly because none of us wanted to leave. We all felt so bad that we couldn’t get ourselves to leave. Finally we heard the door slam down stairs and we heard people running up the stairs. Dean barged through the door when he saw his two sisters crying on the bed. He walked over and joined the hug. A few tears spilled from his eyes, but I don’t think he wanted to cry because of all of us in the room. He looked around and saw that Jai had his head in his hands and Beau did also, James and Skip just stood there as they took in this scene. I finally sat up, and when I did Alex quickly looked over to me, and it was the first time she really looked at me since everything happened. Her eyes were blood shot red from crying so much and her face was also red. She was so beautiful but at the same time she looked horrible.

She was looking at me like she didn’t want me to leave and I said “I am not going anywhere.” With that she gave me a little smile and she turned back towards her siblings.

Dean was the first to leave with Skip right behind him. He was probably making sure he was going to be okay and not do anything stupid. Then Melody laid Alex down on her bed. She was sleeping. She must have worn herself out from everything that happened. Melody slowly got up and signaled for us to follow her out. I didn’t know if I should follow or not, but I did. I carefully got out of her bed and walked out.

When I walked out I saw Melody in the hallway wiping away her tears and cleaning herself up. We were still surrounding her waiting for what she had to say.

She finally looked up at us “Thank you so much.” She croaked out. We all nodded and gave her little sympathetic smiles.

“This means a lot to me, considering I am not around a lot so it is nice she has friends like you to watch over her.” She said with a small smile.

“We want to be here for her, she is amazing.” I said to her. She looked at me and searched my face carefully. So that is where Alex gets it from.

She looked at the other guys who smiled in agreement. The she looked back to me, “You like her don’t you?” She asked bluntly.

She caught me off guard but I answered it truthfully. “Yeah I do, I like her a lot.”

I looked at the guys who just smiled at me, and when I looked back to her she was smiling also. “Well if you hurt her, I will make sure Dean hurts you, and trust me he will. Alex is his best friend. I have seen him hurt people because they called her ugly.” She said with a little bit of pride as she boasted about her brother.

“If I hurt her, I would just be hurting myself as well.” I said smiling at her just thinking about Alex.

“Good, oh and yeah she likes you too. You can tell by the way she is with you. My sister doesn’t like many boys, so it is easy to point it out when she does like one.” She said smiling at me and I was smiling right back. She liked me, and I didn’t deserve her. But trust me, I am going to do the best I can to deserve her. “Alright, well you better get back in there before she wakes up and sees you’re not there. You guys can stay if you would like, I am going to be making dinner and you can stay and eat. Just let me check on Dean quick.”

With that she went to his room. I was still with the guys. I looked at them and they were all smiling at me like nothing had happened before this.

“Are you guys going to stay?” I asked them, but I am pretty sure I already knew there answer.

“Yeah dude, free food!” Beau said, and they went down stairs. I went back into Alex’s room, she hadn’t moved from where Melody placed her. I quickly slid my shirt off because I had tears all over it and got in carefully not to wake her. But when I got under the covers she turned over and put her head on my chest and her arm over my chest. She was so beautiful when she slept, just breathtaking.
