Luke POV:

Alex headed straight for the car but I thought it might be a good idea to grab the rest of the guys first in case something bad happens and we have to get Alex out right away. So I grabbed her hand and made her follow me to my house. She didn’t fight which made me a little worried. I busted through the door to find Jai and Beau sitting on the couch. At first they were smiling at us but then they saw a delusional Alex behind me. Jai immediately stood up and grabbed his jacket and Beau followed in suit. They came over to me and were looking at Alex, I turned around and saw she was looking around. “This isn’t the hospital. We need to go get Dean and take him home!” She yelled, she was staring at me and I still saw nothing in her eyes. No life, no death, just emptiness. “We are going now.” I said and we all walked out of the door. We almost to the car when Jai came up next to me “What is going on?” he asked carefully, making sure Alex didn’t hear. She was off in her own little world, so I don’t think she heard anyways.

“Dean is in the hospital.” I said looking straight ahead.

“We caught on to that part, but what happened?” Beau asked. I guess he was standing next to me also when Jai asked.

“I am not sure. As soon as we got in the house Melody started yelling at her and she was yelling back then Melody said something to her and then I don’t know. Something happened, and then Alex went up to Melody asking where Dean was. Melody said that there was an accident and he was in the ER. Alex grabbed her phone out of her hand and showed it to me telling me to drive. She has been like this ever since, it’s like she is in some trance and only Dean can knock her out of it, like she has to make sure Dean is okay.” I explained to them, by then we were at the car and Beau took the keys from my hand.

“I’ll drive, you stay in the back with Alex. Which hospital?” Beau asked getting in the car and starting the engine. Alex and I got in the back, “St. Vincent’s” I said. He nodded and pulled out of the drive way.

Jai turned around and looked at Alex, she was staring out her window. Jai looked at me then back to her. “Hey Alex, we are going to get Dean and bring him home, okay?” When he said that she snapped her head in his direction making him jump a little. There was nothing in her eyes still, “Yeah, we are going to get Dean and bring him home.” She said to Jai as she turned her head back to the window. Jai looked back at me and shrugged.

The ride didn’t take that long considering Beau drove 85 the whole way there. When we arrived at the hospital Alex jumped out of the car running towards the ER doors. Jai, Beau and I were right behind her. We caught up to her before she could run in there and start screaming Dean’s name.

“Alex wait” I said but she was trying to get around me, panic was spread across her face and I couldn’t help but feel horrible. She just wanted her brother. She was trying to get around me when I finally grabbed her hands and she looked up at me. “Let me go Luke, I have to get Dean.” She said trying to escape my grip.

“Alex listen to me, you can’t just go running in there and demand to take Dean home okay? You have to wait till he is ready to go home.” I explained to her, she nodded her head and I turned towards the ER doors with one of her hands still in mine. When we walked in we went up to the front desk “Hello, we are here for Dean Cobalt.” I said looking at the lady. I looked over at Alex but she wasn’t paying attention to us, she was looking at a room that was down the hall from the desk. Someone was in there and there were doctors surrounding whoever it was. “Are you all family?” She asked watching Alex carefully.

“No we are friends, but this is his sister, Alexandria Cobalt.” Alex then looked at the lady and pushed me out of the way so she was closer to the lady. “Where is Dean?” Her voice was so shaky I was surprised she even got the words out of her mouth.

“I’m sorry, you can’t see him righ-“The lady was cut off by Alex yelling, “Where is Dean! I need to take him home! Tell me where Dean is!” She was in the lady’s face and the lady just stood there. You could tell she has had this happen to her before and it was nothing new for her. Beau and I pulled Alex off the desk and basically dragged her towards the door, she was kicking, screaming and yelling “Where is Dean!” Everyone was staring at us as we pulled her outside. As soon as we were outside I took her and pulled her into me. She was trying to get free but she eventually gave up and put her arms around me. “I just want to take him home.” She croaked out as the tears started falling from her eyes. “I know, I know. Everything will be okay. We are all here for you.” I said trying to sooth her. I looked at Beau and we both knew something was really wrong with Dean and Alex might not be taking him home today. Alex looked up to me and the emptiness in her eyes was replaced with worry, and I don’t blame her. She wasn’t allowed to see her brother and nobody was telling us what was going on or what happened. “Can we go back in please? I won’t freak out again.” She begged. She was looking up at me with those big eyes that were now green. That always got me, her eyes turned green when she cried. It was amazing. “Sure.” I said finally letting her go.

When we walked in I saw Skip with Jai, when did he get here? He was in his gym clothes so I am guessing he was there when Dean got there. As we got closer to them I saw there was blood on his shirt. I tried to pull Alex the other direction but it was too late, she saw the blood and ran up to Skip. Beau and I were right behind her so when we caught up to them I saw that Alex’s eyes were glued to Skip’s shirt and it looked like Skip had been crying. Skip doesn’t cry, why was he crying? “What happened?” Beau asked Skip looking concerned. But Skip didn’t answer, in fact I don’t think he even heard the question. He was just staring at Alex who was staring at his shirt. When she looked up at him she asked “What happened to Dean?” They were staring at each other when she asked again, this time a little bit louder and more hostile “What happened to Dean, Skip?” He didn’t say anything but instead he looked over to the room that Alex was staring at before. Alex followed where his eyes were and she looked back at him. “He’s in there?” She asked, but before he could answer she was running over to the room. Beau, Jai and I all ran after her but it was too late. She busted through the curtain to find something she will never un-see again.
