Jin's POV
It's been a week since I submitted my application for the BigHit internship and the results are supposed to be emailed to us by the end of the day.
It's all I could think about for days and I feel guilty because I know that these three idiots are doing their best to take me out of my nervous slump.
It's funny because I'm the oldest, but I'm often the one who gets babied among us four. Still, I try my best to do my part even though I end up making fun of them most of the time.
It's just because I'm aware that Dahyun keeps her problems to herself most of the time, RM wasn't around for four years, and V keeps saying that he wants to be more independent because he's still being treated like a baby by our grandparents.
I definitely need to step up for these dorks.
Right now, we're hanging out at RM's new place in UN Village— a graduation gift from his parents.
Dahyun and V are currently screaming at each other while playing Mario Kart.
I turn to RM who's just laughing at the two and ask, "No pressure, but now that you've graduated and back in Seoul, what do you want to do?"
"Yeah, I'm still not sure. I told my parents that I'll be taking a gap year before I start applying for masters, but I'm not sure whether I want to apply for an MBA," RM answers.
"Damn, I wish I was allowed to take a gap year. Maybe I could've improved my English and passed the TOEFL," I reply.
"I swear, your parents need to chill sometimes. Our grandparents too. Plus, don't think too much about not being able to study abroad. It's really overrated," RM says nonchalantly.
I have no idea what he means by overrated, but I leave it at that.
"Speaking of studying abroad, didn't you say that you became close with a South Korean at NYU? What was his name again?" I ask to change the topic.
RM immediately lights up. It's obvious that he really became good friends with this person.
"Ah, Suga! His actual name is Min Yoongi, though. He's at Daegu right now, but he'll be moving to Seoul next week for his new job," he says.
"Oh, he should hang out with us some time when he's here. I really want to meet the person who had to put up with you for four years."
"Yah! As if you guys didn't travel halfway around the globe just to see me," RM says while throwing a pillow at me.
Dahyun and V finally stopped shouting at each other. The game must be over now.
The two of them came closer to where RM and I are lazing around.
"How about you, V? Now that we've graduated, are you going to apply for an MBA like this basic hoe over here?" RM asks while pointing at me.
Me being a basic hoe has been a running joke among us four because my life is basically a copy of my dad's and uncles' lives. Nothing original, save for the fact that I'm mostly a failure compared to them.
We all laugh except for Tae.
"That's the thing. I don't want to, but I don't know how to tell our grandparents. There was a set of application forms on my desk this morning. They already assumed that I'd apply even without asking me."
Dahyun immediately hugs Tae.
"I'm sure halmeonim would understand you. You're her favorite," Dahyun says. "It's halabeoji you have to worry about. He's as dramatic as Jin."
