"Are you kidding me?" Chaeyoung asked her friend while raising her eyebrows, she scoffed in disbelief and crossed her legs while leaning back on the couch's backrest to have a full view of Dahyun.
"If you're there yesterday you'll understand why I acted that way." She defended herself and lean back to her executive chair. Her friend rushed to their building as soon as she heard the news from Jeongyeon that Dahyun turned down MK Group and humiliated them in front of everyone present in the meeting.
"See Dahyun? That's your problem, right there! You see every wrong thing from everything. You'd find ways to tell people how they suck and how they need to improve!"
"Everybody needs to improve, because everybody is not perfect." The Korean stated but her friend would just roll her eyes on her.
"Oh please- you know what I mean!" Chaeyoung stood up from her seat and approached Dahyun who was seating peacefully on her chair. "But bro- just- just imagine the shock and dismay of MK Group, they got turned down by the one and only Kim Dahyun." She laughed before continuing,"So how did the Board handle your stubbornness?" She asked while suppressing a laughter.
"They called a meeting and tried to scold me, but they can't because I keep glaring at them." Dahyun laughed with Chaeyoung, both girls really makes fun of the Board this way. They find the Board itself very funny and useless, but Chaeyoung doesn't hate the Board because she had nothing to do with them. Only Dahyun does.
"Damn. bro, can't wait till Yoda hears about this. For sure she'll scold you too." Chaeyoung said before walking back to Dahyun's couch and sitting there.
"Tzuyu? Oh c'mon she wont." Dahyun snorted and scoffed.
"Oh Dahyun c'mon, don't act like you don't know her at all. Even your father will surely get mad at you for turning down a big company. It's MK Group we're talkin' about!" Chaeyoung blurted out like she didn't just laugh with Dahyun a while ago--not minding the fact that her friend rejected one of Korea's top company.
"Look- Chaeyoung- it's not that I don't want to sign MK Group's contract, because I want too! They need us in terms of Stocks and Bond and we need them for the same reason! But I can't just sign a contract without actually being impressed with the presentation, I was known for having quite a criteria for a presentation and I won't cut it out just like that just because a top company presented in front of me- no. I am not that easy. The Board don't know anything, they'll sign the contract to have MK Group with them but I'm not that kind of person. I am not that useless." Dahyun explained as she clasped her hand over her table and looked far across the room, letting her mind wander for a while before Chaeyoung spoke again.
"You're being so full of yourself, the Board is there to help you, they probably saw the good thing in investing with that company...besides, don't you even remember that the Board is the one to put you up in that position?" She crossed her arms.
"I am here because of myself and because of Dad." I replied, "If it weren't for Dad the Board of Directors is still useless like they ought to be." I said in a matter of fact.
"Even the Chairman?" Chaeyoung asked.
"Especially the Chairman." She replied.
"You're so coldhearted." Chaeyoung shook her head. "You know I sometimes wonder if you can get married in the future, I even get to be married first." She sighed and chuckle.
Suho sighed exasperatedly as soon as he slumped himself on his executive chair, he turned around to face the glass wall behind him. He caress his head and scratched his nape out of frustration. The Media shouldn't know what they are facing right now or it will really be humiliating for them, so he's preventing all of them to know. And now that the CEO did not sign the contract, he found himself loosening his tie to help himself breathe at the moment. "IRENE!" He shouted with all his might as he felt himself trembling, his Secretary walked inside his office and rushed towards him to check.
"President! What's happening? Are you alright?" She asked and assess him with concern. Suho sighed and ordered her.
"Get me my drink." Irene stood up as soon as she heard him talk and ran towards the cabinet beside the bookshelf, she opened it and grab the half empty bottle of Bacardi and a Rock Glass just beside the other beverages there. She approaches Suho and pour some on the glass and gave it to him immediately.
Suho drank everything on the glass and sighed again. He was so stressed after the meeting that he didn't go home to his wife yesterday and stayed in his office doing all the work by his own without resting until now. "The folder is in my desk, take it and give me the summarization before the meeting." He said without giving his Secretary a glance--who just nodded her head, she knows that the President is facing a problem right now and she can't let him be vulnerable, but of course he's not. Suho is known for his persistence. She stood up to grab the thick folder from his desk and approach him again.
"Don't stress yourself too much Mr. Kim." Said his Secretary and wrapped her arms around Suho's sitting form to calm him down, she draw circles behind his back and heard the President sighing underneath her. With his Secretary's arms around him, his office door opened, revealing Sana--who stopped midway just to look at both of them. Irene retracted her hands and stepped away giving Suho a full view of his wife.
"Sana." Called her husband, which she reciprocated with a warm smile. Irene, on the other hand, looked at the both of them and bowed before announcing her departure from his office. After she got out of the door Suho approached his wife and hugged her--they still haven't talk about the other night where they fought, since Suho didn't go home yesterday, but without being with each other he felt like dying. So he hugged her even more, "I'm sorry I didn't go home yesterday, I had a lot of work to do. And I'm sorry...I'm sorry we- we- we fought." He mumbled while resting his head on the crook of her neck. Sana chuckled as she wrapped her arms round him.
"I'm sorry, Hunny." She mumbled cutely, "Nayeon told me what happened, is that why you didn't go home?" Suho stood up straight and looked at her apologetically and nods.
"We had a problem about Kim's Corp. They turned us down and now I don't have any choice but to present to them." He explained in the verge of crying in front of his wife. Just by having her beside him every emotions he tries to hide earlier came rushing to him, he said that he'd protect Sana but now he just thinks that it's the other way around.
"Suho, I know you are stressed because of this, but please...don't overdo it. I don't want to see you someday just bawling your eyes out and telling everyone that you can't do it anymore. I am always here Hunny, you can count on me. And Dad! He'll help you with everything Suho."
"No, I don't want to be a problem to him-"
"So you tend to not tell him even the tiniest problems this company has?" Suho nodded his head slowly.
"Dad is there to help, he don't want to see you in this situation so please...let him help you."
"No Sana, I don't want him being troubled because of all of my faults. I can't let him do that!" She cupped her husband's cheeks and looked at him directly.
"This is never your fault Suho. Never."
After a few minutes of just drawing circles behind his back to calm him down, Sana looked at her husband, "I have always heard that the CEO of the Kim's Corporation is hotheaded, stubborn, and a perfectionist, its understandable that he's triggered easily." Sana joked.
"I believe that's not a compliment" Suho said while chuckling.
"There's just few compliments of him in the internet, about his company, mostly they say that he's that kind of man." Sana shrugged.
"You know, its not a He." He said.
Sana looked at him shocked, "What?"
"Its a She. The Kim's CEO is a She." He smiled at his wife.
"Well. I don't know about that." Said she as she watched her husband laugh at her.
"Let me treat out for lunch, outside. Just to make it up to you. And to talk things through. Sana I really want us to be okay, you know that. So please, help me do that." He caress his wife's cheeks and looked at her lovingly, This is the other thing she loves about her husband, he always tries to make things right between them. But at the end of the day, as long as they are having conversations like this, they'll end up fighting, because even though they both tries to understand one another. They know to themselves that they have problem....problems.
