Chapter 4: Warface chats, and real life stats

My body slumped back on the couch, and my eyes turned bright white. My vision blurred, and when I woke up again, I was in the chopper. I appeared in my SED player. Our mission was to save the civilians and kill Blackwood. No civilian casualties or we risk a mission failure. Theo was a Engineer, Tari was a Medic, and Lamar was a rifleman. Lamar asked "So, you have no memory of what happened after the explosion, do you?" I said "No. I saw a bright light and..." "Sounds like you died" said Theo. I rolled my eyes and tried hard not to laugh. Theo was very cute and loveable, but could be very annoying sometimes! "Anyway, I saw the light, and next thing I know, i'm in the chair where you guys found me. Also, I remember a name. It's fuzzy, but maybe you guys know a thing or two about him." I said. Tari and Masa looked at eachother. "Shoot" said Tari. I gunned down a sniper behind her. I said, "The name is Dr. Sheridan" That made everyone freeze. "Wait, did you say Dr. Sheridan" Sofia asked. I nodded and took a bullet in my arm. It hurt very much (Our conscious is in the game, so we can still feel the bullets in game, but our bodies are not harmed). Lamar fired on a bridge. We ran for a crate and we all caught our breath. Theo said "So this Dr. Sheridan guy found you?" I shrugged. "Although before blacking out, I cradled Lucinia so she wasn't hurt by anything. She was my friend, and I think she might've died. After the explosion I only have memory of this arm and something about video game abilities" I started to cry. Lamar screamed. Theo and Tari immediately got on it, on replenishing armor, and the other, health. After a successful mission, I was gracefully pulled back to reality. I said "So doc, diagnosis?" Sofia pulled out her tablet, and I thought I saw the SMG4 logo on it. She said "Standard Meta Runner arm, but your software is a beta build." I said "That's good?" Sofia nodded. Masa said "Gamer, besides your obvious gaming skill with or without the arm" I blushed. "Thank you" I said. Masa said, "You're welcome, but there's something else we have to tell you." This time I sat up. I said "Go on." Sofia said "This is going to surprise you, but you have powers man. Powers like spiderman (I'm durable, can climb on walls, and I have spider sense), and something with using video game abilities by making contact with a game for more than 15 seconds." We all sat there in stunned silence. Finally Masa spoke up "If you honed these skills, you could be a valuable asset for us. Maybe even infiltrate Tascorp and find the info we need, but you need practice" Tari said "Gamer 450. I think that's a good secret agent name though..." We all laughed. I said "I'd like to help you, but I have no idea how to use these 'abilities'" Lamar said "That's why it's called training man." I got up, and Tari helped keep me upright. I said "Well, let's start training. When does it begin?" Sofia led me to a room and shut the door. Holograms started to appear everywhere. Sofia said "Here's training Gamer!!!!!!!" I said "Lets'a  go!"
