Clary

I started to dream again, but this time it is clear. The man of my dreams is tall and gorgeous with strong muscles. He has golden hair and skin and he has blue eyes but one is brown with blue surrounding it. He has tattoos all over his body. He is holding me in his arms as his tattoos light up in golden lights. There is another scene and he is holding me in his arms telling me he loves me, but all of a sudden, something pulls me away from him and my vision gets blurry. Everything around us starts to disappear and then, he starts to disappear. "Jace!",  I wake up screaming his name. I sat up in bed panting and my heart started to pound so hard in my chest. I could not catch my breath. A hand was placed on my shoulder. It felt strong and made me feel safe, but there is nobody there. "What does it mean? Is Jace my baby's father? Is he the man of my dreams, the one I am supposed to love?" I am so confused. The hand that I felt on my shoulder felt real or am I imagining it?" "I need to find him!", I say aloud.  I want Jace, but I do not know why. This feeling that we belong together feels strong and genuine. Will I be able to find him if I search? "Jace, if you are the one that I belong to, I will find you."

Jace

Clary called out my name! She was dreaming of me. I could not help but place my hand on her shoulder, but I think she felt it. "Could she be remembering? Is it possible that she will get her memories back?" At this point, it is impossible to guess. I just stood there and watched her as she got out of the bed and started talking to herself about me. She remembers the day she used her tracking rune to use our angelic bonds to track Jonathan. That is the only time that all my runes lit up in a golden light. Clary is asking if I am the one that belongs at her side. She feels like she needs to search for me. That she needs to find me. No matter, because I cannot take my chances that she will not regain her memories again. I watched her fall asleep again and at first light, I headed over to the Institute and the portal to my future. I stood in front of Imogen as she looked at me and took me all in. She took a deep breath and started the long-awaited speech.

"My dear boy, I am surprised at the decision you have made. Volunteering to be de-runed for a girl, is not what I expect from a Herondale."

"Grandmother, she is not just a girl. This is Clary we are talking about and the girl that I love."

"This is the first time that you have called me grandmother, Jace. It tells me that you want my approval in your decision."

"Yes, I do, but if you do not give it to me, I am still going through with my decision. I want to be with Clary."

"Does this mean that I cannot talk to you out of it then? You are giving up being a Shadowhunter for her?"

"I am sorry, but yes. She means everything to me."

"Well then, Jace, you have my blessing. What kind of a grandmother would I be if I do not put my grandson's happiness first. After all, I hear rumors that I am going to be a great-grandmother!"

"Thank you, grandmother. It is not a rumor. Clary is six weeks pregnant and this is the reason I made this decision because I have to think like a father now, not like a Shadowhunter."

"Jace, I am so proud of the man that you have become. The de-runing can be done this afternoon. I will not make you wait any longer. Clary is so lucky to have you and I know that you will be very happy. It is true, that when a Nephilim finds the one, that he will love fiercely. You, my boy, are the living proof that the saying is so true."

"Thank you, grandmother. I will see you this afternoon. By the way, I love you grandmother."

"Jace, one more thing before you go. I am going to set everything up so that you can get your parent's inheritance and this is going to include Herondale manor. I think that now that you are going to have a family, you should have the money to take care of them. The manor has been too big for me and all I do is have a team that goes and cleans it and maintains the ground for me. It is yours. This box belongs to you. There is a letter there that your father had left for you in case anything happened to them. I forgot that I had it up until I found out that you were my grandson."
