Chapter 6

Jace

She went to take a shower and change. Things are going better than planned. I did not think that she would have memories stirring in her so early in my plan, but I am not going to complain. When she came out I jumped into the shower and then got dressed. We went to the coffee shop and got some coffee and a sandwich and went to her dorm to pack. When we finished packing her things at the dorm, she knocked on Holly's door.

"Hey, Holly. This is my boyfriend, Jace."

"Nice to meet you, Jace. I am glad that you found Clary. It has been so hard for her when she found out that she was pregnant and did not remember who the father was. You are the father right?"

"Yes, I am. I am also glad that I found her. She was in an accident and lost her memory. The doctors said that it would take some time but she would regain them sometime. Her dreams about me and my bumping into her brought some of the memories back. That is why I think is best if she moves in with me."

"I am going to miss my friend, but if this is what is best for her, then so be it. You have to promise that you are going to take care of her."

"Do not worry, Holly, I will always protect her and take care of her."

"I will miss you too, but we are going to be in class together and you are going to visit me at our apartment."

"You are right, I will definitely be checking up on you."

I talked to Holly for a little bit and then we went home. To our home now and to the beginning of our lives.  I had so many questions for Jace about our lives in the past two years. We arrived at the apartment and put my belongings in our bedroom. I took Jace's hand and led him into the living room and sat on the couch. He smiled at me with that beautiful smile of his. He reached over and kissed me softly and then sat back and waited for me to talk.

"I want to tell you about my dreams and you tell me what was happening then."

"Sure thing. Tell me."

"One of my dreams we were at a terrace and you had your shirt off. The runes on your body were glowing and you were hugging me against your chest. What was all that about?"

"Sebastian came to the institute when he defended Izzy, my sister, and your best friend, from the demon Azazel. It turns out that he was actually your brother, Jonathan, who had demon blood. He was trying to steal what we thought was the Mortal Mirror to give it to your father. You had the ability to create a rune that bonded our angel blood so that we could track his whereabouts."

"In the second dream, you had your arms around me and told me that you loved me. We are in bed together and the bed has black silk sheets."

"The was the day that I tried to remove the twining rune that had you connected to Jonathan but it failed. You decided to stop trying to figure out things on your own. It was the first time I told you that I loved you since the night you brought me back to life. It was the night that we made love for the first time and you got pregnant."

"How could they make me forget you if they knew we were in love? Would he have known that I was carrying your child? I grew up thinking that angels were heavenly beings that were full of love and kindness. Raziel has made this a personal vendetta. Every time I think of angels, it reminds me of hell or being in Edom."

"I do not know Clary. I do not know why Raziel is punishing us, but I am here now, and we are going to have the life that we wanted. We are no longer Shadowhunters, therefore, Raziel cannot interfere with our lives. That is why I gave up everything for you. So we can have a normal life to raise our baby in."
