"Germany." The German country stopped adjusting his tie to look over, seeing America standing in the doorway, a serious expression decorating his features. "It's time." America continued, while Germany looked at him with a worrisome expression before nodding. America turned around, walking away from Germany's room.

Germany turned back to face his mirror, adjusting his tie just a little bit before grabbing his dark grey vest, slipping it on over his arms before walking out of his room, closing the door behind him. He walked down the hall, buttoning up his vest as he went before reaching the foyer where America was waiting.

"Are you sure about this?" America questioned before adding, "They still don't trust you."

"That's because they only know my father, they don't know me." Germany countered calmly, swallowing down his nerves. He wanted to run, he wanted to call UN and say he'd changed his mind. However, his country needs this, the world needs this ... he needs this.

America nodded, before opening the door, allowing Germany through before he walked through as well. They both walked up to a black Ford Pinto, America getting into the drivers side as Germany slipped into the passengers side.

America backed out of the driveway before driving onto the main road, making his way to the building location of UN. Germany stepped out of the car, looking around in worry as the citizens seemed to freeze in place, all their eyes trained on him, looks of fear, disgust, and anger was mixed among the crowd. Germany gulped, his confident demeanor slowly beginning to fade.

"What is he doing here?" Someone among the crowd questioned.

"Did he cause some sort of trouble?" Another questioned, their voice laced in fear.

"Maybe, I mean he is Germany. He might've tried to invade France just like his father and grandfather did in the past." Another answered, speaking as if it was a stupid question.

Germany looked down at the ground, their words echoing inside his head, it became the only thing he could hear, falling into a daze. America glanced at the onlookers, letting out a small sigh before placing his hand on Germany's shoulder, snapping the country out of his daze. "C'mon, we don't want to be late now do we?" America questioned, giving Germany a reassuring smile before leading him towards the building with all sorts of flags planted just outside, one of them being his own.

Germany took a deep breath in and out, before following right behind America, trying his best to ignore the glares and disbelief gazes. America opened the door, gesturing for Germany to enter before America followed right behind him. Germany slipped off his black overcoat before draping it over his arm.

"America! You have arrived." Canada exclaimed before stopping as he noticed a figure standing next to America. Germany avoided eye contact from the canadian country, casting his eye downwards towards the floor. "I heard you were joining, I didn't believe them." Canada spoke, looking at Germany with an unreadable expression.

Germany shuffled his feet in discomfort, too afraid to look up at the canadian country. Then a hand came to view, causing Germany to look up in shock seeing Canada smiling warmly, "Welcome Germany." Canada spoke, glancing down at his hand before looking back up at Germany.

Germany hesitantly reached out his hand, taking Canada's hand before giving it a shake while saying, "T-Thank you Canada." Germany spoke with slight hesitation, still unsure the event was happening. Canada nodded to him as he took his hand away, glancing at America for a moment before turning around and walking away.

Despite the exchange with Canada, Germany still felt nervous, especially when his gaze traveled to France and Poland, one was glaring at him while the other gave him a look of distrust. His eyes traveled around the room, seeing the same expressions on most of their faces.
