Chapter 11

Haylee woke up to the sound of Abby's loud voice talking to Noah. Haylee came out of her room still with Noah's hoodie on. Haylee looked out from the balcony to see Abby and Noah unpacking her stuff. "You guys are doing this at 7 in the morning?", Haylee yawned. Abby looked at Haylee. "Wait a minute, is that... Noah is that your sweatshirt?" Haylee remembered last night. "What? It's soft." , Haylee said trying to make it as least awkward as possible. Haylee took off the sweatshirt and threw it at Noah's head.

Haylee made her way downstairs to make some breakfast. "What do you guys want to eat?", Haylee asked as she grabbed a pan from under the oven. "Eggs!", Abby and Noah said at the same time. All three laughed at each other even though it wasn't that funny. "Guys there is a laser tag arcade 5 minutes away from here do you want to go?", Abby asked the group. "It could be nice to be get out", Haylee said. "I love laser tag", Noah said very loud. "Alright it's a plan", Abby announced. Haylee finished the Eggs and all 3 of them sat down to eat and catch up on the few years that Haylee was gone.

Abby cleaned up breakfast as Haylee and Noah unpacked Haylee's stuff and decorated her room. Noah did his last night he said he couldn't sleep, which brought questions to Haylee's mind, but she didn't think about it that much. Haylee went to go take a shower that she very much needed from last nights swim. It was a quick shower since she was excited to go to laser tag. Haylee came out of the bathroom ready to go. Noah and Abby were talking and Abby looked worried "Did Noah tell Abby?", Haylee was worried that he had spilled her secret. "You will never believe it, I was out side to get my swimsuit from drying and on the edge of the pool there was blood", Abby said. Noah looked at Haylee having a private conversation with their eyes. Haylee could tell he was mad that she didn't tell him. "T-that's crazy, do you know what's it from?", Haylee said as she broke the eye contact with Noah. "Well people in Florida are crackheads so it could have been a murder", Abby said with a crazy look in her eye. Abby always had crazy ideas and theory's about things that happened. Haylee was glad that Noah hadn't told her, but she knew she would have to talk to him later about the situation.

Everyone jumped in the car with Abby and drove off to the laser tag arcade, Abby talked about possibility's that the blood could have come from she had a crazy one about a alligator and a crazy crackhead and the crackhead lost so the alligator dragged him away to eat him. Noah stayed quiet either because he was thinking or, because he was upset. Either way he was quiet which was never good. They made it to the arcade and they all walked inside, and made their way to the laser tag. They got in pretty fast since not a lot of people where there yet. "We have to be blue team, it's just a given", Abby said to the instructor. Abby made things perfectly clear of what she wanted and she would always find a way to get what she wanted. Noah was still quiet. As they walked into the arena they found some cover for the three of them. The speakers came on and explained the rules, as soon as it said "go" Abby jumped up and screamed "you'll never take me alive" it only took her about 5 more seconds until she got shot. "psh whatever this is rigged, I'm getting food", Abby stormed out the door. It was just Haylee and Noah. Noah was focused, when he finally shot someone Haylee looked at him and told him good job. "We need more cover", Noah said in a low voice. Haylee nodded and moved to behind a ramp. Noah was shooting when he saw someone aim for Haylee. He quickly grabbed Haylee and pinned her on the wall moving her out of the way of the laser. Their faces were inches apart. "Just because I saved you doesn't I'm over it", Noah whispered. Haylee's Heart was going so fast she could hear her heart beat in her ears. Haylee pretended that it didn't happen and continued to play the game.

There was two people left, Haylee and Noah had to get both to win. "I've got a plan", Haylee said "What?", Noah said in disbelief "if we sneak away from this spot and slowly get to them without them knowing we could knock both of them out in one", Haylee suggested. "Good plan, you lead", Noah said. Haylee and Noah basically crawled to get to the other side of the wall and the both shot at the exact same time and got them. "YES EAT THAT YOU- I mean uh good game", Noah yelled as he smiled at Haylee. Did she fix it? Haylee smiled back which turned Noah back into frowning and upset. Haylee and Noah walked to the door to leave. "Noah I'm sorry it's just that-" Haylee wasn't able to finish her sentence without being interrupted by Abby. "I can't believe you guys won without me" Haylee and Abby giggled it was stuffy in the Arena and Haylee had to cough. "Hey I'll be right back I have to go to the bathroom real fast" Haylee started towards the bathroom as she heard Noah say, "Yeah a bathroom break sounds good to me" Noah followed Haylee to where the bathrooms were. "Abby said she was going to meet us in the car", Noah said as he caught up to Haylee. Haylee couldn't talk without letting a cough out. "Hey I will come with you", Noah said trying to be supportive. "i-I'm okay", Haylee said as she ran into the bathroom. Haylee bent over the toilet an coughed for about 3 minutes before she calmed down. Haylee washed her face in the sink and walked out of the bathroom, Noah was waiting for her. "Why didn't you tell me Haylee?", Noah said with no emotion. "You were happy, you looked happy", Haylee told Noah as they started to walk towards the exit. "I was happy because you were happy", Noah confessed. Haylee had another butterfly in her stomach. "Haylee you don't look good, you're really pale and thin", Noah said looking her in her eyes. "I think you should tell Abby", Noah added. "I will tell her when we get back", Haylee said in regret.

Hayleeand Noah walked to Abby's car it was cold in Florida today, which was unusual.Haylee shiverd, Noah quickly took off his green hoodie lifting his shirt just alittle, Noah gave Haylee his sweatshirt, it was a bit big on Haylee bit shedidn't mind. Haylee put on his hoodie and got in the back. As they were ontheir way home Haylee pulled out her phone to text Noah "Hey turn around"Haylee waited for him to look her way, she was wearing his sweatshirt like adress. Finally, Noah looked at his phone and quickly looked behind him. Hegiggled a little Haylee felt good about herself.
