Chapter 14

Haylee, she was blinded by a light she remembered her feeling faint but couldn't exactly remember anything else. "We are getting a response call her Emergancy contact", Haylee heard a females voice from a distance. She also heard a heart "Am I in a hospital", Haylee thought to herself still being blinded from the light. Haylee could see a figure walk through a door, once it got closer she saw that it was a doctor, she had blond curly hair with gorgeous green eyes. "Welcome back, I'm your doctor Samantha but you can call me Sam for short", Sam smiled as she did Haylee's vitals. "What happened?", Haylee asked "They said you passed out because you were coughing too hard", Sam said writing things down on her clip board. Haylee suddenly remembered her sickness and the fact that she was going to die. "Did they tell you about my", Haylee choked up, she couldn't get a full sentence out without having her feelings fall all over the place. "Begonias.", Sam finished the sentence for her. "y-yeah", Haylee said with a lump in her throat. "They did, we have been working with you and were waiting for you to wake up so we cold discuss surgery for you", Sam said calmly. "How long have I been out for?", Haylee asked only expecting her to say a few hours. "4 days, you went into a coma and we had to put you on a breathing machine to support your lungs from the damage", Sam explained to Haylee. Haylee was surprised, she immediately thought of Noah, the past 4 days must have been so hard for him. "Do you know where Noah is?", Haylee asked Sam. "He always comes during visiting hours and constantly talks to you and brings you flowers. You guys are the sweetest couple", Sam said with the biggest smile. The thought of Noah and Haylee together mad Haylee's stomach jump about 1'000 times. "Oh we're not together just friends", Haylee smiled hoping that Sam wouldn't say anything in front of Noah. "Oh my bad, you guys must be very close then it seemed like he really likes you", Sam replied with her joyful smile.

There was a knock at the door and the door slowly opened, Haylee looked up to see Noah's face "Haylee!", Noah ran and gave Haylee a hug. Haylee felt warm and comforted. "If you ever leave me again I swear.", Noah said with the most joyful voice. Haylee thought about how she is going to die about her sickness and that she couldn't keep his promise. "I promise", Haylee said just go along with the moment. "Now that Noah is here, could we possibly talk about surgery to cure you from your begonias." Haylee said pulling the pen out from behind her ear. "Sam I don't think I could afford the surgery.", Haylee said in a soft voice. "Actually since this disease Is so rare they would like to do research on your lungs, of course we would give you a transplant, you wouldn't have to pay a penny.", Sam said waiting to see Haylee's and Noah's reaction. "R-really?", Haylee said looking at Noah with tears forming in her eyes. "Yes", Sam said with the biggest smile. "Haylee did you hear that? You are going to live!", Noah said extremely joyful with tears of joy. "Are you willing to do it?", Sam asked. "Absolutely!", Haylee said. "I will bring the surgeon to talk about what will go down in the operating room", Sam said as she headed out the door. "Haylee you have to call Abby! She has to know", Noah said as he pulled out his phone. Haylee thought about the last time that she spoke to Abby, and that she called her parents without her permission. "Noah wait, last time me and Abby talked I was mad at her for calling my parents, I don't think she wants to talk to me.", Noah looked at Haylee. "Haylee that is the most ridiculous thing to think, she has been so worried about you", Noah said as he continued to dial Abby's number. Haylee was shocked she didn't want to talk to Abby over the phone she wanted to talk to her in person. "Noah, I want to talk to her in person not over the phone". Noah smiled at Haylee she could tell he was happy she was back.
