Chapter 13

Haylee, woke up to Abby gently shaking her awake. Haylee sat up, she saw that Noah was still asleep. "What Abby?", Haylee said slightly frustrated that she was woken up. "Someone is here for you", Abby said quietly so she wouldn't wake Noah. Haylee got up following Abby downstairs to see Haylee's Mom Heather, her Dad Felix, and her little brother Finn on the living room couch. "I had to tell them", Abby said turning around looking at Haylee. Haylee was very upset from last night, Abby calling her family just made it worse. Haylee walked pass Abby not saying a word. "Hi guys! I didn't know that you were coming!", Haylee said hoping that Abby really didn't tell them. "Haylee sweetheart are you okay Abby said you needed to talk to us about something?", Felix said. Haylee sighed knowing that she would have to repeat last night, but worse. "I have a disease, its called begonias. There is a flower growing inside of me from the inside out which causes me to have major coughing fits.", Haylee said holding back the verge to run back to her room. "What does that mean?", Finn asked. Haylee's Mom Heather bent to Fin's level "Sissy is very sick honey." "Haylee has to take medicine", Finn said looking from his mother to Haylee. "Yes! We could take you to the doctor to cure you!", Felix said with tears building in his eyes. "It's over millions of dollars.", Haylee said. "We could find money.", Heather suggested. "Mom, I'm dying I'm not going to make it, I'm sorry", Haylee said as she watched her family's hearts shatter. Haylee turned to see Noah resting on the balcony, Haylee locked eyes with him for a moment, she was pleading for him to help with the situation. Noah walked downstairs to stand beside Haylee. "I know it's big news", Noah said trying to calm down Haylee's family. Noah was good at making, people feel better especially Haylee and her family. Finn still didn't understand what was going on, Haylee could tell he was confused, after all he is only 3 years old. "Noah!", Finn yelled happy to see Noah. "Hey buddy!", Noah went on his knees to give Finn a hug. Finn ran into Noah's arms. It made Haylee's stomach have about a million butterflies she always loved when Noah played with kids he was always so good with them. It took awhile for Haylee's parents to calm down, they didn't live far from the house, Haylee knew that they would be visiting very often. "How about we get some ice-cream.", Noah suggested, trying to pull away from the negative atmosphere. "Mommy can we get ice cream!? Please?", Noah pleaded to his mother. "That sounds like a great idea", Heather said. "I want to go with Noah!", Finn said turning around jumping into Noah's arms. Noah looked at Heather and nodded that he wouldn't mind. "Only if we get Haylee.", Felix said.

Haylee got in the car with her parents as Finn and Noah got in a separate car. "Are you and Noah together?", Heather questioned. "Mom! No!", Haylee said only slightly embarrassed. "I'm sorry, you two seem like you like each other", Heather pointed out. "Well I do.", Haylee hesitated to say. "Honey you have to make a move!", Heather said as she looked at Haylee through the rearview mirror. Haylee thought about it on the way to the ice cream shop. "Could mom be noticing something that I'm not?" eventually they turned into the parking lot of Cold-Stone. Haylee got out of the car to see Noah and Finn playing outside of the entrance waiting for the Haylee and her parents to meet them. "Finally, what took you so long", Noah joked. "Did he just flirt with me?", Haylee's Mom got in her head was she over thinking this, Or could he be into Haylee too? Haylee shook off the thought and responded "I wasn't the one who drove." Everyone entered the store. Haylee's favorite flavor was cotton candy, Noah always made fun of her for being childish, but Haylee didn't care she would get her favorite ice cream. "Okay Haylee I'm going to order exactly what I think you want and you have to order mine", Noah said with a smirk on his face. "But that's Easy for you! I only like one thing!", Haylee complained. "tough", Noah laughed. Haylee rolled her eyes looking at her mom. Her mom made a expression of "Told you so". Haylee knew that Noah's favorite ice cream was cookie dough with gummy bears, Haylee personally thinks that gummy bears and ice-cream together should not be a thing. Haylee heard Noah tell the worker "Just cotton candy please." Noah and Haylee made eye contact, Haylee quickly broke the contact to order Noah's ice cream. "Hi, can I please have a cookie dough with gummy bears mixed in?", Haylee looked at Noah to see if she got his order right. Noah wasn't focusing on Haylee now, since Finn was by his side. "Hopefully I did it right and I didn't mess anything up.", Haylee thought to herself. Haylee got Noah's ice cream and walked over to Noah and Finn "Ooh what did you get me?", Noah asked. "Cookie dough with gummy bears.", Haylee said nervously. "You know me so well", Noah said as he handed Haylee the cotton candy ice cream. Haylee gave Noah his ice cream, she was proud that she did it right. Haylee and her family sat down to eat their ice cream, Haylee could tell that her parents were still upset about the situation. "If there is questions you can ask me", Haylee said touching her mom's hand from across the table. That's exactly what they did, it was the question's everyone had asked before. Haylee was shocked that she wasn't being rushed with emotion. Once everyone was done with their ice cream Haylee's family went home, and Haylee rode with Noah back to the house, Abby was sitting on the couch. It was only noon, but Haylee was tired. "I'm going to take a nap for a little bit", she said to Noah, completely ignoring Abby. Haylee was very frustrated with Abby, but she tried to not let it bother her. Haylee climbed into her bed and drifted off to sleep.

Haylee, woke up with a massive pain in her chest. She was going to have another coughing fit, Haylee stood to her feet and ran to the bathroom, when she turned the corner to the bathroom Noah was slowly walking up the stairs. Haylee knelt over the toilet and coughed, only about 5 seconds later Noah was there by her side. Noah had never seen her in the middle of a coughing fit, it was always the end of one. Haylee could tell Noah was getting concerned, it worried Haylee. "I'm okay Noah", Haylee struggled to get out of her mouth. "No, you're not", Noah said with tears building in his eyes. This went on for a good 45 minutes. When Haylee finally calmed down she turned to Noah. He wasn't doing so good, his breathing was out of control. "hey, hey match my breathing", Haylee said as she grabbed his hand and put it on her upper chest. "Bold move", Haylee said to herself. Haylee wasn't doing good she was blacking out, she felt weak. Haylee falls onto Noah passing out in his arms.
