The Dream

"Come on Jun! Can't you go any faster!? We're gonna get caught if you keep moving like sloth!" Yeji whisper-yelled at the pink-haired boy behind him.

They were currently crawling their way to the large bushes of the palace garden. Sneaking in to steal foods from the palace kitchen.

It's already dark but the palace are still swarming with guards. So they were being quiet and careful. However slow.

"Shut up! I'm going as fast as I can!" Yeonjun fired back.

They have arrived to the broken window where they would always sneak in. They've been actually stealing foods from the castle for a while now.

As soon as they got in. Yeji looked around to see if there's any guards nearby. While Yeonjun prepares the bags where they'll put the foods.

"Let's go!" Yeji whispered and they sprinted to the kitchen.

The kitchen is as huge as a small house. There's a long table not far from the furnaces.
The head cook seems to know that they were always coming so he would always leave the left over foods for them. Which is why the two would always comeback.

However. Tonight was different. There aren't any leftover foods on the table.

"Let's search!" Yeonjun syggested and they started opening every cabinets as quietly as they can.

However they couldn't find anything as all the cabinets have been emptied. They couldn't find anything else.

What only makes the huge room a kitchen now are just because of the furnaces and tables. There is no trace of food anywhere.

"What do we do? We can't leave empty-handed! The children haven't had anything for days!" Yeji was starting to become frustrated.

She and the children they're taking care back on their small house are starving for days.

"We should search for the kitchen!" Yeonjun said and went to the door but was immediately stopped by Yeji.

"Are you serious? There are guards out there! They might catch us!" Yeji exclaimed completely pulling him away from the door.

The boy held her hand and smiled softly. "It's a risk Yeji! But it's fine! As long as we don't return home empty handed!" He said and kissed her forehead.

"Just stay here! I'll be quick!" He said and left quickly.

Yeonjun kept looking to his sides to see if there's guards anywhere. Then he smelled something that made his stomach grumbled.

He followed where it was coming from and arrived to another huge room. There, he saw a maid cooming on a large pot.

The food smells so great. He looked arlund and found lots of fruits and vegetables around.

He was about to sneak in behind her when someone suddenly grabbed his mouth and pulled him to the shadows.

He frealed out and elbowed whoever it is but the person whispered.

"Shush! She'll hear us!" The voice sounded familiar making Yeonjun widened his eyes. His goosebumps all over his body.

"Are you hungry too?" The boy asked and peeked on the maid.

"Y-your Majesty?" Yeonjun muffled and immediately bowed his head to pay respect.

"Oh! Just Kai! And you are?" Kai asked with a child-like smile printed on his face.
