Brian's POV:
You know the feeling when you're supposed to be happy for someone, but instead, all you feel is anger and sadness?
And you get frustrated because you know you're supposed to be happy for this person but you just can't and you feel so wrong about it?
Well, that's how I felt yesterday when Zach came back home with some very 'exciting' news.
---------------------------------
"Brian!!! I'm going to Paris!!!!" Zach yelled as soon as he entered the apartment.
"Paris?" I asked confused.
"yeah! Paris! I just need- wait, what are you doing?" he looked at me confused.
"homework?" I simply replied.
"oh wow, that's even bigger news, I should take a picture to capture this rare moment," he said and pulled out his phone to snap a picture.
"Whatever, you were saying, Paris?"
"yes!!! Oh my god! So, me and four other students from my class have the opportunity to flight to Paris and visit and learn in some of the best patisseries in the world!! I mean I'm going to visit Fauchon!!!!" he almost jumped as he said it.
"Fu-what?"
"Fauchon!!! They're iconic!!!! Everything they make is so luxurious and looks amazing!!!"
"ok... enjoy Texas I guess?"
"What!?" Zach asked confused.
"what?"
"Brian, I'm talking about Paris France! You know, baguettes, croissants, macarons!!! That Paris!!!" now Zach actually jumped in his place.
"wait, what do you mean France? That's like million miles away from here!" I stated.
"yeah! I know! That Paris!"
"umm... I don't know what to say, to be honest" I said.
Paris, France? That's far away. Too far away. And I don't like it.
"congrats? That's awesome? Just some options for you..." Zach said with a smirk.
"I mean, congrats, it is awesome... but I mean... France?" I asked.
"yeah? What about it?" Zach seemed confused.
"for how long will you be gone?"
"well, I need to get the money first, but it's a half-semester program. Just think about the progress and knowledge I'd get from it! I could learn from Pierre Hermé himself!"
