"you got flowers?" Fred asked as he entered my apartment.

"Yeah, they're from my mother" I mentioned.

"oh," Fred replied.

Fred sat on the couch while I got us some snacks.

"so, how's that going? The whole mother thing?" Fred asked.

"better... I guess" I simply said.

"she probably gave you a lot of shit after you came back home," he said.

"not as much as I thought she will, she only told me once 'I told you this guy is not good for you' and that's it, she was very happy I finally came home again," I said.

"and the homophobic part?"

"We didn't talk about it again. I can't do it. I don't care anymore honestly. As long as she's paying my bills, I'll ignore it all" I said.

"I feel you, rent in LA is crazy, especially when it's near the university..." Fred sighed.

I chuckled.

"I thought your girlfriend is taking care of it," I said.

Olivia and he were living in some really nice apartment right beside the university, which is probably costing so much money per month...

"she is, but I don't want her to pay all by herself, you know..." Fred said.

"as if she's the one paying for it..." I rolled my eyes.
