Zach's POV:

I wasn't sure who I'm angrier at as I was trying to find my way out of this stupid party.

Brian, or myself.

I get it.

I've made a mistake.

But he's just being a douche on purpose!

I mean, he's gay! He made it very clear!

So why does he even need that dumb girl with him?!

I felt someone grabbing my hand just as I reached the door.

Eric.

"hey! You're already leaving?" he asked.

"yeah, I got to go" I replied and tried to pull myself away.

Eric pulled me back to him.

"But why? The party has just started! Come hang with us for a while!" he offered.

"I'm sorry, I can't. I have a shift at work tomorrow morning" I lied.

Well, it wasn't a complete lie. I do have a shift tomorrow at work. It's just isn't in the morning...

But Eric seemed to not accept my excuse.

"Just call it sick, come on, it's not even 1 AM!"

"Eric, let go!" I snapped at him.

He took his hand off and lifted it in the air in defense.

"ok man! I'm sorry! Have a good night, ok?" he said.

I just rolled my eyes as I finally stepped out of the house.

I couldn't drive home yet because there was still alcohol in my blood. So I decided to walk to a near diner.

---------------------------------

"Hello sweetie, what can I get you?" an old waitress approached my table.

"just some pancakes, I guess. And coffee. Thanks" I mumbled.

I was staring at the table so hard, I barely noticed she came back with the pancakes and that the coffee that was sitting on my table was already cold.

"I'll get you a new one," she said as she took the mug back with her.

I sighed as I started eating the pancakes.

Within no time, a fresh cup of coffee was rested by my side.
