Zach's POV:

It didn't feel awkward, being with him inside a car again.

I'm happy he's over it now, and we can be friends again.

I'm also happy he's the one to offer it.

I missed him.

"I should thank you in all honesty," he said.

"thank me? About what?"

"convincing Ashley to break up with me" he replied.

"I didn't convince her to do anything" I mumbled.

"it's fine. I didn't need her anyway"

No, you didn't.

"what were you thinking in the first place, knowing she has a boyfriend?" I snapped.

He chuckled bitterly.

"I guess I wasn't" he replied.

I know I have no right to judge, but he can do so much better...

---------------------------------

We arrived at the bowling alley and got signed for a three-round match instantly.

I really missed it.

I wish Olivia and Fred could be here as well,

But I was also happy it's just me and him alone.

"you're going to go easy on me, right?" I chuckled.

He smirked.

"nope"

---------------------------------

Just like I thought,

I still suck at bowling.

Brian was easily dominating the first two rounds, almost having double my score.

"let's have a break before you completely humiliating me" I offered as I sat down the bench.

Brian sat next to me in silence and nodded.

"so how are you, really?" I asked.

"ok? I mean, I can obviously be better, but at least I'm better than what I used to be in the last two months" he said.

"that's good, I guess. How's school is going?"
