Thanos wants to be the most powerfull person in the universe and he would do anything to achieve that goal.
He has the infinity Gaunlet with two of the six existing stones; the blue one (space stone) and the purple one (power stone).
He killed Loki for the blue one...
He destroyed several planets and killed half of the population for these stones.
Dr. Strange has the green one (time stone).
Vision has the yellow one (mind stone).
Red skull has the orange one (soul stone).
Gamora has the red one (reality stone).
Peter Parker AKA Spider-man followed Iron-man and joined the infinity war. Even when Tony told him to go back. He obviously didn't listen.
Anyways, they found the guardians of the galaxy (Peter got almost blasted by Quill) and they decided that they needed to work together to defeat Thanos.
This story happend when Thor goes with Rocket and Groot go to Nidavellir because there was the Mjolnir (Thor's hammer) was created. Thor needed a new weapon since the Mjolnir was missing.
So Peter, Tony, Dr. Strange, Quill, Drex and Mantis are together on their way to find Thanos and steal his infinity Gaunlet.
But Peter heared a voice...
