5. Soul stone

Peter pov:
"Hold up- You want to do what now?!"
I looked at Caitlynn and she shrugged.
"It should be able to work." Mr. Stark said.
"And what if it doesn't?" I asked.
"Then I die and you people have the soul stone." Caiynn said.
Dr. Strange looked at Caitlynn.
"It's a risk but it's possible."
"Cool, new girl dies and we get the stone." Quill said.
"She won't die if the plan works." I said.
"Don't worry. I mean like Drax said earlier; I'm not part of the team. I owe you people my life, now I pay you back for that." Caitlynn said.
"Okay, so when can I push her off the cliff?" Quill asked.
"You can't come. Dr. Strange and Peter are comming with Caitlynn. Peter is going to get the soul stone once Caitlynn hits the ground, dr. Strange will be there to reverse Caitlynn's death." Mr. Stark said.
I looked at Caitlynn.
"Are you sure?"
"I want to help you Peter, like you helped me." She said and Quill rolled his eyes.
"So, when is she committing suicide?"
"We'll arive at Red skull's base in a few hours." Mantis said.
Caitlynn looked outside and I saw the regrets in her eyes.
I sighed and decided to let it be... I mean for as far as I knew, if she decided something; there was no way to change her mind.

Caitlynn pov:
Dr. Strange made this portal thing which he used to teleport us (him, Peter and I) to the llace where the soul stone was.
There was this red head guy who looked at us.
"Searching for the soul stone aren't you?" he asked.
"You're redskull aren't you?" Peter asked.
"Yes I am. But some call me the guide to the soul stone. But if you want the soul stone-"
"You need to replace it with a soul." I said.
"Someone did her research."
Dr. Strange looked at Redskull.
"Where?"
"Over there." And Redskull pointed to the cliff.
I looked at Peter and Dr. Strange.
"All right... jumping off a cliff, no biggie."
"Are you sure?" Peter asked.
"Yes, the plan probably works so everything will be fine."
"But what if it doesn't work?"
"Then I'll die."
"Peter, the time stone will do it's job. There's nothing to worry about." Dr. Strange said.
"Besides, you don't know me long enough to acctually care about me. So don't mind." I said.
I stood on the edge of the cliff when Peter grabbed my arm.
"I'm taking your place."
"What?" I asked suprised.
"I'm one of the heroes, I should do this to save the universe. The time stone should get me back so-"
"Peter. You can't change my mind. If this goes wrong, you're gone. The world- The universe need their Spider-Man. Not a random girl." I said and I pulled my arm back.
Dr. Strange nodded and used a portal to teleport down.
Peter looked at me and I looked back.
"See you on the other side." I said and I let myself fall backwards, down the cliff.

Peter pov:
As Caitlynn fell I ran to the cliff.
There she was, on the ground. Dead, obviously.
"Holy cow..." I muttered.
I saw Dr. Strange next to her and suddenly, I was in some water place and I was soaking wett.
I looked around.
"Dr. Strange? Caitlynn?"
I felt something in my hand and looked at it.
"The soul stone..."
I stood up and looked around.
Where the hell was I? And where were Dr. Strange and Caitlynn... if the plan even worked... if Caitlynn was alive...
"Guys?!" I yelled.
But I had no idea where I was, where I should go or where they were...
"Hello there, I think you have something for me don't you?"
I looked up and saw Thanos.
"Oh I'm in trouble..." I said softly and Thanos grinned.
