29. What the...?!

Peter pov:
A few weeks have passed, everything was going pretty good so far.
Caitlynn and I made a few friends, which we really needed.
Kyle and Taylor. They're a couple as well. Also really good in nerdy and tech stuff, too bad my new identity is supposed to be bad at that stuff...
Anyways, they were Spiderman and Inferno supporters.
They even asked us what we thought about the whole Spiderman and Inferno situation, which was still going on.
"So Sabrina, Jace, do you believe Spiderman and Inferno killed Mysterio because they're the villains?" Taylor asked.
"No of course not!" Caitlynn said.
"Good. I mean it's obvious that the video was fake." Kyle said.
Caitlynn and I shared a look and I looked at Kyle.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, look." Kyle took out his laptop and showed us.
"See, there's a glitch between second 24 and second 25." Kyle said.
"The video is fake and the voice of Spiderman, or Peter Parker, depends on how you call him, was manipulated." Taylor said.
"So if we'd show people this, they'd have to believe that Spiderman and Inferno were the real heroes?" Caitlynn asked.
"Yea, too bad that they died..." Kyle said and none of us said something until...
"They're not!" Caitlynn said out of nowhere.
"What are you-?!" I said.
"We're them. Just with new identities because people were looking for us."
"What the hell are you doing?" I asked.
"I can't lie to them anymore Peter. And you know why!"
Kyle and Taylor looked at us with wide eyes and open mouths.
Then Kyle looked at Taylor.
"We have to help them."
"Obviously."
They started typing on the laptop and Caitlynn and I looked at each other.
"Kyle, Taylor, what are you doing?"
"Making a video with the evidence that you guys are the real heroes..." Kyle said, still working on his laptop.
I pulled Caitlynn aside.
"What were you thinking?! Talking to aunt May, no. Telling them, yes. I don't get it."
"They're the only ones who we can talk to and yes it's stupid but-"
"Guys, turn on the tv now." Taylor said and I did.
"BREAKING NEWS! The former Avengers Spiderman and Inferno, aka Peter Parker and Caitlynn Monclaire who died a couple weeks ago weren't the bad guys. There were a few anonymous people who sended us this video." The reporter said and a video came on the screen.
"Spiderman and Inferno saved the world and the universe many times. When Thanos made people vanish, Spiderman and Inferno helped the Avengers, Guardians of the galaxy and the Wakanda army to save the Universe. Spiderman and Inferno have been saving people in Queens for a long time. Why would've they done that if they were planning on destroying the world? Besided, Mysterio's aka Quentin Beck's video was fake. These analyses proves it. Spiderman and Inferno were the real heroes!" I think that was Taylor who said that and there were a lot of short pieces of Caitlynn and I saving people.
Caitlynn took my hand as the news went back to the reporter.
"Seems clear to me. Peter Parker and Caitlynn Monclaire were real heroes. We should've believed them and had faith in them... I hope they rest in piece..." I turned the tv off and my phone rang.
"Mr. Fury?"
"How did you do that?" He said.
"Caitlynn and I didn't do anything. But what happens now?"
"You two need to show the world that Spiderman and Inferno can't be stopped. Not by a video, not by the badguys, not by an (fake) explosion."
I locked eyes with Caitlynn.
"Are you saying what I think you're saying?" I asked.
"What is he saying?" Caitlynn asked.
"Yes. You can tell your aunt, friends and everyone you're still alive. But everyone knows your identities so you need to be carefull okay?"
"Yes mr. Fury. Will do."
I hung up and faked my expression in sad.
"What?" Caitlynn asked, Taylor and Kyle also looked at me.
"Didn't it work?" They asked.
"Well... We can get our old lives back!" I yelled.
Caitlynn hugged me and Taylor and Kyle looked at us.
"But we'll stay in touch right?"
"Of course! We owe you bigtime!" Caitlynn said.
"Here are our real numbers. But first, we need to get going. We'll text you." I said.

We stood in front of aunt May's door.
We wore more us-looking clothes and Caitlynn took my hand and nodded.
I knocked at the door and aunt May opend the door while she was at the phone, as far as I could hear with Happy.
When she saw us she dropped the phone.
"No... That's... That's impossible..."
Tears well up in her eyes and I hugged her, aunt May pulled Caitlynn in the hug as well.
"I thought you were dead..." aunt May whispered.
"That's what Nick Fury wanted the world to think..." Caitlynn said.
"I see you've has some changes?" Aunt May said with a smile.
I grinned.
"Yea we had new identities for a couple weeks."
"I have no idea what you're talking about Jace." Caitlynn said with a sly smile.
"Oh very funny Sabrina." I said.
Aunt May hugged the two of us again.
"I'm so glad that the second video showed up..."
I felt that she was crying a little and I wrapped my arms around her.
"It's okay Aunt May... things are okay."
We heared some yelling, softly then.
Caitlynn picked the phone up from the ground.
"Hey Happy."
She grinned.
Happy was probably shocked to hear her.
"I think Happy passed out..."
I burst out in laughter.

We went to a different college the next day, the news already covered our story and Ned + Mj would see us again.
We didn't even arrive yet or Ned almost killed us with his major hug.
Mj seemed pretty calm but it was obvious that she was so glad that we were back.
