21. Beat fire with fire

Peter pov:
So I looked at Caitlynn.
"Can I have EDITH back for one moment?"
"Don't blow up anything!" she said and she gave me EDITH.
"I won't."
"Hey Peter." EDITH said.
"Hey, how can we keep our friends inside for a couple hours?"
"Let's see what we can do."

So we went back to the others as our teacher spoke to the group.
"So we go to the Oprah tonight."
"What? That's so lame." Flash said.
"Why to an Oprah?" Ned asked.
"The tour company gave these to us for tonight and we can't let them be waste."
Everyone groaned and Caitlynn looked at me.
"This was rhe best you got?" she whispered.
"Sorry?"

Ned stood next to Mj when we walked inside the room (the Oprah room)
"You look pretty." he said.
"And therefore, I have value?" Mj asked.
"No, that's not what I meant at all. I was just..."
"I'm messing with you. But thanks."
"You're welcome."
"You cleaned up well too."
"Thanks."
"Want to take a pair together?"
"You mean sitting together?"
"Yea..."
"Yea, sure. Cool. I'll be right there."
Ned walked to us.
"I need my wing man."
"Relax. You got this." I said.
"No I mean it. I'm getting nervous."
"Parker, Monclaire. Are you two in position?" Mr. Fury asked through the earpiece.
"Ned, you have to fly solo. But you got this. She's so into you." Caitlynn said.
"You'd think?"
"Yea, get moving already." I said.
"Parker! Monclaire!"
"On our way!" Caitlynn said in the earpiece.
"Ned, wait up. Tell the teachers that we went back because we felt sick."
"Okay, be carefull. Don't try to get the monster here okay?"
"Trust usm" I said and the two of us went to position.

Caitlynn looked at me.
"For goodluck. And warn me on time." she said and she gave me a kiss on my cheek before she left.
"Okay fire monster... When do you show up..." I said when I stood on top of the clock tower of the cathedral.
"I'm in potition." I said.
"Good. How's the new suit?" Fury asked.
"Good."
"Let us know when you see the fire monster." Mr. Beck said.
"And no jokes!" Caitlynn said.
"Yea yea. I know."
Then I saw Ned and Mj in the crowd.
"Oh come on..." I muttered.
"Parker what is it?!" Fury said.
"Nothing. Sorry!"
"Peter!" Caitlynn said.
"Enough focus!"
I sighed.
Please let Ned get Mj out of there...
Nope. They went in the big wheel.
Why did I even thought that Ned would be more responsible then I would?
"Guys, we have seismic activity." Maria said.
"Peter do you see where?" Mr. Beck asked.
"The fountain thing! It's cracking open!" I said.
"Crap, that thing is fully made of metal!" Mr. Beck said.
"On it, let's get going!" Caitlynn said.
"Peter, the crowd need to get moving!" Mr. Beck said.
"I'll do that. People will recognise Peter's powers." Caitlynn said.
"Fine. Peter help Mr. Beck!" Fury said.
"On it!"
I swung towards Mr. Beck and he used his powers.
"Kid you need to release the water from the fire hydrants. Now!" Mr. Beck said.
I used my spiderwebs to take these things away and the water hit the fire monster right in the face.
"Umm... Peter? You're not gonna like where Ned and Mj are..."
I looked at the wheel and they were still in it.
"Ehh... Mr. Beck?"
"Save them. I got it covered for now. Hurry!"
"I'll help mr. Beck!" Caitlynn said.
I swung towards Ned and Mj.
"Spiderman? What are you doing in Europe?" Mj asked.
"Eh... saving the world from the elementals. Now hold on." I said and I tried to get them down.

Caitlynn pov:
"Okay, let's fire this baby up." I said as I tried to control the fire beast.
Mr. Beck looked at me.
"Did you just made another element pun?"
"Shut up." I said.
I acctually had control for a second, mr. Buck did something on his arm pad thing and suddenly I lost control.
"Darn it!"
The fire monster shot at me and mr. Beck didn't help me.
"No!" I yelled as the lava fist went right on top of me.

Peter pov:
I saw what happend to Caitlynn.
"No..." I muttered.
"Spiderman, can you please get us out of here?" Mj said.
"Yea Spiderman, before the fire dude comes here." Ned said.
I got my focus back to them.
"Yea of course."
Then the fire monster came to us.
"Oh god no..." I muttered.
"Get us out of here spiderman!" Ned yelled, was he acctually panicking. Mj was pretty calm though...
"I'm trying!"
"Mysterio, a little help here?" I asked in the earpiece.
"Coming right up!"
One of my webs shot at something invisible and I threw it away.
"Okay guys, hold on..." I turned to help mr. Beck for a second because it seemed like things would end up badly...
Beck looked at me.
"Hey Spiderman, whatever happends. I'm glad we met. Go save your friends."
"What are you doing?"
"What I should've done last time."
He gained all his power and went straight into the fire monster.
"Beck no!" I said but he was gone and the monster turned green before it died.

Mr. Beck was still there and I ran to him.
"Are you okay?"
"I'm fine."
Then I realised that Caitlynn was somewhere under all this mess.
Ned and Mj were iut of the wheel and ran off.
Mr. Fury and Maria arrived as I was searching for Caitlynn, mr. Beck didn't do a damm thing!
"Caitlynn? Caitlynn!"
I threw a rocks and all aside.
Mr. Fury grabbed me by my shoulders.
"Kid stop it. She's gone."
I didn't want to believe it and used my web to get out of there.
